I bring Dog as a fifth sometimes, b/c there is no logical reason to leave him behind. Not sure if she would risk him the Deep Roads, but probably. Leliana gets left behind b/c she knows Orlais, Zevran b/c he always lands on his feet and will manage, Wynne so she can go to the mages if she needs them, and Sten so he can protect them.

Other characters leave Alistair behind b/c it's freaking stupid to risk the last two Grey Wardens in Ferelden in thw Deep Roads. Lya *can't* do that though.

Edit:  I can always use more angry Alistair.  He is very, very, very angry.  In don't know that there are words to describe his rage.

Yea Hardened Al will grab the throne if its not a HNF (or HNM) Warden.  Arranging marriages I think tends to hiccoup that option (such as putting forth Alistair/Anora marriage) though if he kills Loghain Anora won't marry him.  Can't say I blame her for that one.  Everyone has a line they won't cross and Anora won't marry someone who murdered her father.

He grabs it even if you are HNF, that did come as a shock as it was the first time I had hardened him.

Were you at love with him? I've never had him make himself king if he was hardened and in love with my HNF, and I have played through the Landsmeet a lot.

That's a good question, to be honest I was so miffed when it happened I quite the game and left it for a couple of months vowing I would delete it, then for some odd reason I decided to play it through just to see what the epilogue said.  I'll load it up again in case I wasn't a HNF after all, I bet that's my mistake :o

I don't get angry or determined from this one.....I get "What's that smell??"  And with Zevran in the back, looking all innocent, I think it's quite obvious who the culprit is Posted Image

LOL  This is in the Brecilian Ruins when you're arguing with Zathrian over the curse.  Alistair is saying "We're going to do what's right here, no matter the cost" or something like that.  So it's determined Alistair again.

I don't actually ****** Alistair off much in my games...  I'm such a sad sap where he is concerned.

I really should have downloaded that mod for my current game.  Hafter!  I can't believe I forgot.

Does the mod work well?  I would love Dog along more.

Same.  Although, my character would have to do none-rp stuff in order to make him mad.  They think the same way, except she was not even willing to entertain the idea of killing a kid at all in Redcliffe.  Alistair got hsi first O_o face from here right there.

Funny you mention that cause I was just looking at the Darkspawn Chronicles preview video and Alistair has the Werewolves working with him instead of the Dalish.  I guess all that "determination" for doing the right thing was just posturing for the PC?

lol, I don't have the mod.  I am talking from a purely rp-standpoint in fics.  XD  I should get that mod, though.  I don't know why I would leave dog behind in most places.

Edit:  Axekix:  I very much dislike seeing the Werewolves.  Like, you have to go out of your way to get them.  I cannot see Alistair ever suggesting to werewolves that they go and slaughter a clan of innocents.  Ever.  Kinda pissed about that.

Have you ever seen/heard this?  It might be angriest I've heard out of Alistair, though I've never had him at hostile.

Morrigan definitely has him at hostile there.  Oh, if the PC who ever heard that in a game ends up asking him to do the DR...  Posted Image

Edit:  I'm glad I never heard this banter, because it would make me hate Morrigan.

Lady D almost afraid to ask this...but WTF did you DO to him to make him so angry his voice is reaching a level of pitch only Dog can hear him?

Probably because Morrigan did all the choices for him.

Now watch how people will change their minds and decide that preserving the anvil and killing the dalish are in fact good choices, because Alistair said so Posted Image

Haha yeah, I do wonder what the reasoning behind that is.  Ya can't blame that one on Morrigan because she doesn't suggest it :P

Mwuahahahaha.  I've told you, pain is an intergral part of loving Alistair.  And yeah, I saw that the other day.  God, poor Alistair.  I'm usually BFFs with Morrigan, but I think I would have knocked her teeth out for baiting Alistair that way, break-up or no.  Do you get that dialogue after he breaks up with you at the Landsmeet?

I didn't do anything to him.  And it's tomorrow's chapter, so you can always swing by the CC board and find out.  He's not even angry in tomorrow's chapter, as it's just what's going to make him angry.

And there really isn't any yelling.  That's when you know it's bad.

That and the golems.  It bothers me.  A lot.  I cannot see any rp reason for him to take either of those.  I can see him siding with the templars quite easily, but not the others.  It is mind-boggling.

And no, these are never good choices for Alistair, Alistairian love or no.  It directly conflicts with what we know of his character in game.

So I guess, for Bizarro Alistair, a relationship with Morrigan might not be too much of a stretch. Awesome.

Seriously. Might as well slap on a curly moustache and cape on him, would make him the villain just as much as these OOC choices. I guess he just went nuts or something, being the last Warden. Ugh, it's so dumb though.

When you finish your story link me.  I hate reading something that isn't done yet.  Too often I got involved in some great story and then the author got tired of writing it or wrote themselves into a corner (one of my favorite web comics ended that way) and its just too aggravating not having the whole story in front of me when i want to sit and read.

Maybe his in game persona is all a facade! :o

Darkspawn Chronicles could feature the Alistair behind the mask!
