Back to Alistair.. I finished all my characters and he is going to be main romantic interest.. how do you use the cutscenes (right word?) that are modded? and which do you recomend?

That's "Let's gossip about our companions!" dialogue. If you're in a relationship with him, you can needle him about being jealous of Zevran.

Heh, I've done that, but I guess I didn't go far enough to get that line.

Really? I've never had him get mad about it. He might be a little annoyed but I've never lost approval.

Oh wait, is this pc version or modded version?  I don't get the "killing me" line, he just get really angry and tells me to answer the question and I only have those 3 options in front of me.  I'm on xbox.

I think pc may have a slightly different version of that convo...he gets really angry if you tease him twice about being jealous...

Cailan and Duncan weren't that close that Duncan would share something like that with him. I suppose, I will have to ignore the fact that Bioware didn't bother to keep the secrets a secret and pretend they are terribly secret for my story. *sigh* Consistency is overrated.

I try to be mostly consistent, as it's easier in the long run.  This was something that I figured was near and dear to Eamon's heart so he probably did some snooping.  It doesn't really go beyond him, so I was fine with having him find out about that.

Does his approval rate effect that convo to get the "you're killing me" line? It usually triggers quite early on for me so maybe his affection isn't high enough to be all sad instead of angry?



I'm going to have to try this convo at different affection levels...he just seems so cute in that picture.

It's part of his charm and Gaider writes it so well...I bet he's an adorable guy himself.

While reading fanfiction I stumbled across another inconsistency in storytelling that makes sparing Loghain even harder unless you handwave it.

One of the points in conscripting Loghain is that being a Grey Warden would be a punishment for him as the Joining can be fatal. Thing is, the Joining is supposed to be a secret. At least secret enough that the recruits at Ostagar have no idea what is awaiting them. So when Anora announces this secret at the Landsmeet, how does she know? And even if we assume she spills this secret publicly at the Landsmeet (she could also try not to be overheard), it shouldn't be widely known. So what does it look like when you recruit Loghain to people who weren't present at the Landsmeet? Obviously being a Grey Warden is generally seen as an honor...

It just occurred to me that Alistair could be absolutely right when he says being a Grey Warden is not a fitting punishment for someone you just painted as a traitor. It's a dangerous game you play.

Hm. The Landsmeet is not exactly the pinnacle of storytelling, I suppose.

Does she actualy know the blood is involved?  I never spared Log.  I can see that people would know that it can be fatal, because they may know of people who went to join, but never made it out. Do they actualy know WHY it is fatal?

Morning all.  I was posting a couple things overnight because I was insomniac and now I'm paying for it by being braindead.  Even the coffee is not helping, yet.

I don't think I've ever met a man who likes cats.  So I don't know what to make of Ser Pounce-a-landers.

More familiar territory are men who like dogs.  Alistair says he doesn't get along with dogs, but the evidence points to the contrary.

Yea, bosses are not so generous as demons.
At least demons make us feel happy and relaxed when they feed on our soul. Bosses keep us awake through the entire process.
