Yea, bosses are not so generous as demons.
At least demons make us feel happy and relaxed when they feed on our soul. Bosses keep us awake through the entire process.

Thank you. I used to have 3 cats
And that also makes Sten one of the best men in the world.

More familiar territory are men who like dogs. Alistair says he doesn't get along with dogs, but the evidence points to the contrary.
A (while infiltrating Fort Drakon): I hope this works.
Zazu: whine
A: That's what I was thinking.
And I'm whining from lack of sleep...
As many men like cats as women, in my experience. It has more to do with whether you grew up with a parent who didn't like them. I only know one person who doesn't like them much, and while he's a man, I don't think that's why. His mother seems to have disliked cats.
Some men may give more lipservice to preferring dogs, but I think that's because they've been raised to think that's the manly thing, rather than an actual dislike of cats. Most of my male friends have cats that they love very much.

And I am fairly sure they won't allow it. Ferelden will have no heir no matter who is on the throne. Basta!Nu-Nu wrote...
He needs an heir so you will end up being the mistress even if you are not one now, he going to have to marry someone who can bear his child and look after the child when the calling comes.
Unless by some miracle, Bioware will give you an option to cure the taint and you two can have children of your own and live happily ever after and then you won't ever be the mistress. But that's only if Bioware allows that....
Either that or they will force a canon that doesn't even deal with such details like "mistress" endings.
The whole angsting about an heir seems pretty pointless, Anora doesn't even bother to try again. Having an heir may be expected of a monarch but it's only to provide a potential successor, the Landsmeet can obviously ignore the line of succession and appoint a completely new ruler, so having no heir shouldn't be that much of a problem. It's a no-brainer, actually.
Now, if you let Alistair break up for the sake of an heir this sacrifice is probably for naught. You leave him alone with the burden of kingship you imposed on him (with or without his approval) and he will have to marry a stranger in a political marriage (it is unlikely that this match will have anything to do with attraction and everything with power, influence or appeasement) only to find out that the reason for this didn't work out at all.
Very tragic and a good story in it's own way, but you need a PC who is either extremely attached to the Theirin myth or very delusional.None of my PCs are like this.
Exactly why I said we should stop with the mistress crap. Fact is Alistair isn't married at the end of the game, or in the epilogue. THAT is what we know. THAT is as far as the game goes, so why bother worrying about "well if he gets married I'm a mistress, and thats not right". Live in the now, he loves your pc, your pc loves him, you can be together and support his rule. The End. That's like saying I refuse to evr get married because I might get divorced.
I disagree your pc has to be delusional however. My pc's fell for the man, not the myth:P

Perhaps the opposite of what we waste time on, like work we should be doing. Maybe right now in Edmonton there's a BW employee designing a brochure on mentoring, just for funsies.

Well, people will angst, just as femCouslands angst over the heir. If this game was inspired by Song of Ice and Fire, our PCs and/or Alistair are going to prematurely die in some horrible, tragic fashion anyway. I would say don't get attached to any DAO character, but it's far too late for us, I'm sure.Lady Jess wrote...

My fem couslands are 50/50 happy. Kasha married and commander, hell with an heir, she's got a good man and a good career...i call that a happy ending. Tess, well she spared Loghain, and made him do the DR. Lyra...she'll be happy too, as chancellor and commander...same deal, good man, good career. Aidan Aeducan has issues, and will be going back to Orz after all of this is done, she's tired of falling for men that can never truly be hers...poor girl wants a husband:(

Yes, just minimize it and it'll disappear, leaving only an icon in your system tray in the right corner (next to your clock). If you don't see the icon, it's not running in the background.Addai67 wrote...
@Gilsa, I tried Fraps but my screenshots never showed up in the folder I specified for them. Do you have to have Fraps running for it to work? Because the little yellow counter in the corner bugs me.
And you can turn off that yellow counter -- go to your FPS tab and check on "hide overlay." But in case it accidentally shows up again, just press whatever button that is assigned to your overlay hotkey and the number will jump to each corner of your screen before disappearing entirely.
