I'm not that far in but it seems interesting.  The general idea seems to be that parts of Thedas (not just Ferelden) were teleported to another plane in a Deep Roads/cavern type area.  Beyond that I haven't found too much out yet. 

You get to start your character w/ the character creator which is kind of cool.

Here's a tip. If you want to let Kolgrim think you're going to defile the ashes...do NOT stay silent with Oghren's comments. i was so busy laughing, I hit stay silent and ended up having to fight them ALL in the temple.

Do you have a save right before you talk to Kolgrim? I highly suggest you tell Oghren to shut up and tell Kolgrim you'll take your chances anyway. =p

I think it was the prelude to one. They spent half their lives cuddling one another and licking each other clean, which explains why they were the cleanest cats in the village. They start out cuddling, licking, then wrestling, then back to a lick-fest, then sleep.

It's the first time I've ever REALLY felt like I wanted to actually go back and fix it! I'm completely blameless, I know it, I denied it when Behlen told me what trian was supposedly up to. Now I feel bad for telling him to kiss my ass:( My poor Aidan really did think her family was immune to the kinslaying, that they wouldn't do that to each other. (translation...I was in complete denial...lol)

I just got did the Gauntlet as a mage, the first that I allowed to help Jowan. I was pretty pissed when the Guardian was all "do you feel like you could have done more?" Like what, exactly? Thrown Jowan out a window? Torn off my robes and try to make out with Gregoir to create a distraction? Offered to be made tranquil in his place? Very frustrating, that Gauntlet.

Let's focus on killing crazy (awesome) cultists:

@lady -- I'm impressed you've hung in there this long. When you were losing interest in Alistair as a dwarf, I thought you'd run out of steam shortly after! =p



@sabreene -- yeah, that's why I just finally turned off the blood after three games. I don't mind it in the game, but when I see how much it mucks up the screenshots, ugh. I just keep it off to keep the images clean.



I'm still having trouble fixing the toolset. It's my fault, I know. Probably because I was running the game and the toolset at the same time? I only made one file and I deleted all my work (did a search to double check) and it's not resolving itself. I may try to reinstall toolset and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, my game runs just fine and my current DN looks fine (only wanted to fix her make up) so it's not omgmylifeisover or anything. =p

The gauntlet as a mage really annoyed me. As a Noble (either human or dwarf) I felt bad or guilty, like I should've done something more (even though as a HN I knew I couldn't have). But as I mage, I'm like wtf, leave me alone. I was also a little pissed as a CE -- not at Shianni doppelganger, but at the questions the guy asks you before you go in.
