I tend to do everything, so it takes forever for one game to be done. Then I start procrastinating finishing it, because I start making new characters in the toolset! I still haven't managed a playthrough without romancing Ali! His sad face and his funny/corny jokes just win me every time. This last play through, I had to get the polygamey mod, just so I could finally finish a Zevran romance and not break Ali's heart in the process.

I do everything.  The OCD in me demands it.

Query for those who use The Winter Forge:  Where do I find the stuff to make enamelled armor or lvl 2, 3, 4, etc... armor?

its supposed to be on teh vendors like Bodahn but I did somethign to break my game (some mod I installed is preventing them from showing up or I haven't done something I need to in game to trigger them).  This run through I am going to pick up more recipes or maybe will just reinstall it.

How do you change the colors of armors? Are you using Winter Forge or is it toolset again? I feel like I'm missing out since I don't know anything about toolset

Also, Yukidama, yeah, mine and KoP's avatars are a lot a like. I was thinking about changing the color but it just looks so awesome as it is (being TIM and all). Hopefully KoP won't mind that people will confuse us for a while lol. Just so you know, I'm the one sleeping with Ali;)

Sure! When you click on the barrel you choose "see configuration options", then you  choose "enable the override mode...", then "don't do anything and leave".

After that, you can just click on the woman, and get things done from her.

I remembered what it was that she doesn't do -- there are some more color options for clothes/mage robes without the override on, and any cloth colors are free. So I usually make the object with her, and then if it's clothing/mage robes, I turn the oveerride off and use the anvil to re-color it.

HEY Al don't go hon I just woke up! I have this erratic sleep pattern waking up around 4am every morning, puttering around on the PC for an hour or so then sleeping another couple of hours.

Something else I found I can do with the Winterforge is (Keeping the same stats) I can convert one model of armor to another
For instance, last night I took the robes Wynne was wearing and converted them to the Ivory Tower model. So now she has robes with actual stats (its just tier one till I can find enamels again) but they look EXACTLY like the Ivory tower set my PC has on and have actual Armor value instead of 0

One of the other options was somethign Templarish too lol

I don't know anything about Winter Forge as I've never used it.  One of the ways to change the color of armor is to use the Upgrade Wand since every item level has a set color.  I think you need IA installed to get gold tones but I might be wrong.  There is also TMP's Less Gaudy Tints.  Beyond that you would have to manually either retint or retexture an armor piece to change the color.

The Winter Forge.  You go Craft New Object -> Some Clothes -> Noble -> Human Nobles.
Alistair is wearing Human Noble Clothing A.  You can choose different materials.  He's got Dark Cyan cloth.
Lya is wearing Human Noble Clothing B.  Satin blue color.

For women, Set A is Isolde's dress, Set B is Anora's, and Set C is what Unhardened Leliana wears during the end throne room scene.
For men, Set A is what Vaugh and co. wear, Set B is what Bryce/Eamon wear, and Set C is similar to A, but it looks more like a vest up top.

I messed with winter firget this morning, and may have made the most overpowered duster leather armor...lol. I really wanted to do the aeducan shield but apparently theres no way to make it look better. It's sad when you get it, and it's just a dwarven round shield with heraldry. That would be ok, if you couldn't still see the design under the heraldry.

That's what I thought, at first.  I got it b/c I really want to have a set of the pretty scale I like, and a set of Splintmail classic for Alistair, and this is the only way to get them later in the game.  It's actually pretty easy, and using the override to unlock all the armor materials is quite helpful.  I *may* play around with making armor for my rogues/mage.

Yep, my PC hasn't had the "where is this going" talk yet, so that's a little more squee before I head off to feed him to the archdemon.    I'm not going to keep that ending, but I want to see it once.

I turned off the persistent gore long ago.  It doesn't look realistic anyway.

I do tend to do almost everything that's available, if it makes sense RP-wise with my PC.  Well, I stretch that, too- like the time I had the future queen of Ferelden breaking into houses.  LOL

The end part of the game is anti-climactic anyway, so I don't see any need to rush to it.  But I also play on Easy mode.  The story is the key part for me and I have zero desire for more combat.

I'll definitely have to check it out when I actually play again.  The mod I'm working on is a bigger project than I thought it would be.  I think I'm finally about 75% done.  Then I can replay my HNF Queen for the 4th time.

Heh, I had a moment of confusion once, too, when I was reading one of your posts, I forget what it was but something about how romantic Alistair was or whatever.  Though KoP was pulling our leg until I realized it wasn't him.

I have no idea who this Illusive Man is, but obviously he's quite an impressive bloke.

It just puts a crafting area in your camp, right?  Doesn't change anything else?

Yeah, I definitely want to see about rogue armor.  I am noticing, however, that all mage robes I make look like Archon robes.  Anyone else encounter this issue and know how to fix it?  I want my mage in acual mage robes, damnit!

And my avatar?  *looks*  It looks exactly like it should....  Why, what do you see?

I'm thinking of making my future "duster" rogue a set of medium armor like Sigrun wears in Awakening. And i may have my fanfics confused...but maybe Lya would like a nightgown:D

Ummm...  Right.  *passes*  I don't want to fight in a dress, and srsly, what is even the point of playing the game at that point?  XD

Hmmm, I don't recall seeing an option to make the elf wedding dress in The Winter Forge.  Does it maybe not come with that model?
