Okay, that makes more sense. I think green and hazel are genetically linked, so he got them from mom. Good. It was a weird anomoly.

Even in theory, its not that likely.  It's more like it's feasibly possible but highly highly unlikely.  Brown is usually considered the dominant phenotype, so yeah, according to the vanilla game....Eleanor had a "friend".

They are finding out that eye color is more intricate than they once thought. Green eyes can either be related to blue or related to brown, depending on the genetics. So even though the green eyes shown look more related to the blue side of things... I'm going to just pretend they're related to the brown, and no one had the affair. Either that, or Poppa Cousland brought home a "pup" for Eleanor to raise. Or she was staying with him, giving her life because he forgave her all those years ago.

Really though, I think the programmers just forgot about genetics while they were making the characters. Just look at all the characters who have coloring that makes no sense!

Ah lol I never really paid that much attention since his face is mostly covered during. I notice when it is really obvious (Morrigan kiss and Alistair's Drakon kiss).

Ah lol I never really paid that much attention since his face is mostly covered during. I notice when it is really obvious (Morrigan kiss and Alistair's Drakon kiss).

If I could figure out the cutscene editor, you wouldn't think it would be hard to close his eyes.

In all honesty it was probably just an oversight on the eye color w/ the Couslands. I'm editing every npc file in the game so... yeah, I've seen a ton of over sights so far.

It is nice, although the lighter eyes still throw me off more than any other change to his character design.

I love this shot too! And I love Fraps for helping me get it! I like the lighter eyes.  I was playing with a blue-eyed Alistair the last couple of days, just for a change of pace. These ones are a greener hazel, which seems more natural to me. Though, I do like the blue too

Oh yeah, I don't actually believe that she did.  But genetically speaking, if Fergus' eyes are indeed brown and not hazel the genetics says that it's not very likely that Bryce is Fergus' father.  Gosh, I've been hit with SUCH a story idea now, but I'm not a fast enough writer to pull off my thesis, my current fic, and this one all at the same time... but the idea's been tugging at my head since someone mentioned wanting more backstory on Bryce and Eleanor...

This might go into a folder of ideas...maybe one day it will see light!

Bioware forked up the eye colors imo just to vary apearances. Wiki says Couslands have green eyes.

Not that it really means much in the grand scheme of things, since it may have been just oversight on BW's part. But his features are very Bryce-like, I think, so IMO it is easier to chalk it up to some fluke than Fergus actually being someone else's kid.
