Worst. Post-Coronation. Ever.

At least Anora's not all pissy you had her locked up for a few weeks.

Pissy would have been much better than that horrid little giggle and all the "ohh, I hope you stay in court while you decide" (since Esra told her she didn't know what she was going to do).  Fat bloody chance.  My PC just doesn't know what to do.  She was half hoping the templars would be waiting at the door to lock her away again.

Maybe she'll be alright.  Zevran said he would stay with her.  Sweet Zevran.  He's the only one who gives a damn what she does.  Who knows, maybe someday they would get together.  I can't really see it, but anything is possible.  Sten's farewell was nice, too.  At least some warmth in his voice, oddly enough for him.

For those who have played this, what does Wynne say about Alistair?  I never recruited her on this game.  As a result, not one companion said a word about him.  Not a single word in the epilogue.  It's obvious the end game was made for a PC who didn't care about Alistair and just saw him as an expendable Warden.

Nothing of import, if I remember correctly. Pretty much just like "Poor guy. Oh well~"

@yukidama : if your elf looks like she is twelve years old, go look at some of my warden's; I think at least two of them look like they are underaged to become Wardens!

Haha, my mom is a bit dramatic, I think. I think she looks fine for a ~young elven lady~ xD She just has strange features.
Posted Image

she does look a little young in that pic :P but then again she is by a kinda tall guy

Haha, she does but I think most elves tend to look young next to humans. The height difference is a bit weird for me.

she's Alistair loli!

I never understood why they made elves smaller then humans; by the way I describe my characters both Seinna Amell and Hazel Cousland should be smaller then my Naomi Tabris ><

Loli? Am I gonna have to dress her like this
Posted Image
xDDD Never happening, btw.

Shorter than elves? Then they're reaaaaally short, aren't they?

hehe yes they only would reach 5'0, I think they need to drink more milk

Awww comeone I dare you to put her in one of those costumes and take a screen shot of it!

Posted Image

:wizard: se doesn't she look cute? thankful that she won't kill me

also what I use to write my character, its kinda hard to write a fanfiction where the main character is basically you.
I kinda cheat and try to blend personalities that I loved from differant animes/mangas, books, movies, and video games.

She's so super speshal but everyone hates her, besides the perfect knight in shining armor who (and every other male she subsequently comes in contact with) falls in love with her.

My human mage is kind of like that. NPCs fall in love with her all over the place because she's gorgeous but she's so shallow and self-absorbed that all of her party membrs except Morrigan (who she bribes with pretty objects) hate her and only stick around beause she's really good at killing things.

Hmmn not sure what to say on that my first base off of the Cousland look was the tradition dark burnette hair and green eyes, something Scottish or an Italian look, that's what I focused on with the Cousland look.

What about Aeducan's? I can never make a decent Aeducan look like she is actually related to her brothers!

If you stick to the darker blonde hair (like in my avatar) she'll look like Bhelen but the lighter blonde hair makes her look like Trian and if you pick blue eyes and a light complexion then that should work.

Yep, mine's in my avatar...but that's kind of small. So..here's my Aidan Aeducan

Oh, I like the alliteration.  Very nice. She looks a lot like Trian. Posted Image

Thanks:) she is my very first toolset made dwarf, I honestly didn't think I could do it. All I knew going in was I wanted light blonde hair and blue eyes. After Ostagar and Lothering though...she got a tan, a tat, and freckles...lol

If the dwarf wasn't a redhead (those poor Broscas) and was on the surface for a few weeks, a tan and possibly freckles is going to happen. I'd like to think she freaks out when her skin start changing colors and Alistair has to reassure her that she's not dying and it's perfectly normal.

You just have to love the achievement that says you COMMANDED Alistair to kill the AD. :pinched:

I think violet is definitely one of the indicator for Mary-Sue-ness. Being a princess with special powers others don't have and one of the last of a legendary order would also count but that's hardly our fault, is it?

You know, the best indicator for Mary-Sue-ness is being THE WARDEN. I hate a lot of fics just because the writers don't bother at all to tone down the awesomeness of the main character. Awesomeness has become an insult and an indicator for >5 on the scale.

Says the DA fanfic police! :police:

Totally agreed. It bothers me in-game, too, like when only the Warden is thanked for whatever, because he/she is so awesome, never mind that the companions weren't standing around picking their noses.

And it's one of the many reasons the new DLC bothers me--the warden is so super awesome that is he/she died in the joining, Ferelden would be DOOMED, DOOMED, I tell you!

It's forgivable in the game because of the necessary game mechanics--like you might be playing solo, but not in fiction.

She says it's very sad but people would rather have someTHING living to gawk at and by that she means you. If she asks who could ask for better than being a hero and you reply Alistair then she's like 'yeah, sucks to be him' and moves on.

It's even worse for Loghain, though. She's like 'he totally deserves it' and he might but he just died to save her and everyone else from the Blight and that deserves a little more respect.

Here:

Wynne: "The hero of Ferelden." My, my. How does it feel?

PC: I'm not the one who killed the archdemon.

Wynne: Dead heroes are all fine and well, I understand, but living heroes give the people something to gawk at. And by something, I mean you. But it's not so bad, is it? A Blight defeated with the other nations barely becoming aware. Who could ask for better?

PC: Alistair, probably.

Wynne: I suppose there is that. Poor boy.

THIS! I wrote today on SIB that I would love to play the DLC if it was the Warden who failed. My chance to beat Warden Sue to pulp. ^_^

What?!  It says that?  F 'in A!!!!  This ending would actually be good, in a tragic-poetic kind of way, if they had done it right.  Instead it falls prey to the mash-all-games-together-into-one ending.  There should be a much different tone to it all if Alistair is at Friendly, let alone in a romance with the PC.  They should have had an Alistair funeral just like they have one for the US ending.

ROFL yes! I imagined her in camp scrubbing her face like a mad woman, convinced all the blood has stained her face permanantly.

Certainly not worth having the old bat in camp to hear.  Ugh.  That's almost worse than if she'd said nothing at all.  It's typical Wynne that she says something she thinks is profound but which at second glance is completely f'ed up.

Can we give back an Achievement?

I'm thinking, since I'm a S&S warrior on the side with Aidan, I might just have to take Zev, Morrigan, and Oghren to the tower this time. I don't think a dwarf would have much problem with siding with the templars....maybe? Of course that means I have to kill Isolde...oh no....

I don't think I could be that evil unless the warden looked like Charming from Shrek

And if it's early enough in their journey then Alistair has to try to figure out if this is some strange dwarf custom or if his fellow warden's just nuts. Posted Image

Do you ever have to command him to? I thought he always volunteered because he felt it was his duty to and possibly to save you if he likes you.

Since we are discussing the tragedy that is the Warden Commander ending (on several levels) I feel I should plug Freckles04's Sanest Thing that she wrote in response to the fact that NO ONE CARES that the love of your life just sacrificed himself for your sake and the sake of all their sorry whiney butts and he gets NO thanks for it.

Ahem.

Ack, someone get me a picture!  A happy picture!  There is too much Alistair dying around here...
