I'm actually a staunch Alistair enthusiast. I think Alistair is the type that could take a joke at his own expense.
I really wish he had a different name. "Alistair" is a bit too manly for him. Maybe Cecil?Kryyptehk wrote...

The other PC response was "She means they shouldn't BE controlled" and she says "let us not speak of this further, you are a very busy man" either way I got +12...lol Man did she turn on the charm with him though, there's a surprise with her around every corner it seems. And she's officially my almost healer.
She only approves if Irving places himself and the mages under arrest. It's not killing mages (and it's my canonical choice).
and she isn't flirting. She is just toying with Gregoir who once again proves how much of a failure he is as a templar (apostate right in front of you morron!)

Actually I don't get it. People who write their characters like the best thing ever/ without a flaw, I mean. Where the heck is the fun in that? It's booooring.![]()
I like my character(s) to be quirky, flawed & stumbling, in a figuratively way. Much more fun like that.
Yeah, I think a perfect MC would be a one-way ticket to dullsville, as a writer (I know it is as a reader).
I'm often lurking and that's how I feel too.Kryyptehk wrote...

Well that was what Esra was telling herself, too, except now she has to live with the consequences of wondering whether Morrigan was telling the truth.Sandtigress wrote...

And Alistair is relieved, I think partially b/c it might not seem real to him yet. It's my RP reason for why he seems so happy about it.
He also doesn't know he's in a video game, so he probably has some hope that Riordan won't be a Damned Fool and get himself killed before the archdemon is slain.
I figure that since he doesn't trust Morrigan even as far as he can throw her, he also doesn't have a whole lot of faith in the ritual actually working.
So the fact that you might both die soon is just as true to him as it was earlier in the evening, and now he also doesn't have to touch Morrigan on the off chance that she might be telling the truth and not playing a colossal joke on him.

Irving can put himself and other mages under arrest.........?
I've never seen this. Can someone elaborate?

If you use the lithany and save Irving, he will go to Gregoir with Cullen and you can decide their fate. If you tell Gregoir that the Tower is secure or if you tell him to do what he thinks is best, the mages are free and they join you. If you agree with Cullen, Irving admits that they cannot know if none of them is possessed, so places himself and all the mages in Templar custody. Templars would assist you in the final battle.

@ Lady Jess. Hmm, maybe you're right. It's been a while since I let the mages die on purpose. Unless there is a way to kill Irving other than not using the lithany?
And we haven't even been posting many NBA shots lately. Oh, my new Dalish girl is going to love NBA. Alistair living close to the land. Yeeeehaw!Kryyptehk wrote...
I know, I'm just used to different fan-threads where the character is worshipped as a god. It's bizarre being in an Alistair fan-thread. And he'd probably be beet red if he saw this thread. One page we have Viril!Alistair, the next he is wearing makeup.

Ya know the ONLY good thing about one's husband being away for a year? None of that danged macho crap on my tv...ugh UFC, hockey, football (which I don't mind as much). Kill it with fire.

Do the mages get killed or is are they just under arrest until they can prove that they are not possessed? Though I don't know how the mages being arrested would be any different than how they usually live.
