What IS the difference between Alistair and Cailan?

Alistair is more tolerable.

I disagree.  "HO THERE, FRIEND!"  Always makes me smile.

*snorts in laughter as she recalls the Pearl mod*

*snicker*
And the humorous take on it... Hounds!

I do not recall that line!  :o  Which initial dialogue did you choose when Cailan shows up?

Would someone please make me finish ONE character before I start playing another! Gahhhhh

I have to or I can't get into them. One at a time for me, I don't know how people can play more than one.

Me too. I'll start a new character and think I'll go back to the other character, but I never do.

I'm the same way.  Actually if I try playing more than one at a time I tend to lose my grip on the character and have a hard time getting back into it.

Why is there not a Loghain fanthread? I'd join it just because of how much I love his voice.

Because a Loghain fanthread will inevitably turn into a war zone.

In fact, every single Dragon Age discussion will inevitably become a Loghain debate / warzone.
That's because he is one of the best characters.

I honestly don't understand the appeal of Loghain's voice. The voice actor doesn't sound like he's gargling razorblades when he's doing Caladrius's voice. I love Caladrius he's up there w/ Kylon on my favorite noncompanion npcs.

Hey, Loghain voiced some Quarian in ME2. That would be perfect for me. He wouldn't even need to take off his suit lol.

Now if Loghain were voiced by Martin Sheen, I'd sacrifice Ali everytime. And ask Loghain to let my Warden call him The Illusive Man.

But then she wouldn't know who that is and my plan would fall apart. -le sigh-

Sean Connery should of been Loghain.

The Illusive Man would not have gotten himself into this mess in the first place.

That would be severly unfair for Alistair, as no one would give a **** about his opinion.

That's true. The Blight would be over before you got poisoned/nearly thrown in jail for murder/killed for helping a malificar, etc.

Sometimes I feel like I've stumbled onto a Ali-hate thread. It is very confusing being here.

I know right?
all these sad faces and bizzare make-overs...

It's too cruel, even for me.

Me too. I like my pictures of him smiting things and killing stuff. :)

A while back we were talking about Tamlen and the PC's relationship.  I said I thought the game pointed towards a sibling-like relationship, but this time I heard a different dialogue option from Ashalle, the PC's foster mother.  She says 'I know how close the lad and you were.  I had hoped that one day you two might... never mind."  Something like that.  Anyway, it looks like my idea that my PC considered Tamlen her intended and that they were lovers was actually what the game points to.  Of course, you could RP it that your PC had no romantic interest.

This is Tamlen with Serissia's headmorph, and my new PC Idun.

She didn't say that to me unless I told Tamlen I wanted to be with him.

Ah, is that what triggers it?  Makes sense.  They really needed... more... in that discussion with Tamlen.

I always roleplayed that they had wanted to get married. Kind of like childhood sweethearts.

Does anyone else feel guilty killing Flemeth? Or is it because I'm partial to Capt Janeway's voice?

It's because killing Captain Janeway is inconceivable, I'm certain. It took three playthroughs before I could bring myself to do it. Then I found the robes, so....

They needed a lot more of everything in the Dalish origin to be honest.

On my last DEF I played it that they had more of a sibling relationship.

I don't know why people say the Dalish origin story is flat.  Maybe if you don't get the Tamlen connection it seems that way.

The VA did a great job on Flemeth.  I don't kill Flemeth gladly, though Fiona 2.0 was more eager than most, because of the fact of her being an abomination.

I understand that I had no trouble killing her, since Morrigan asked me to do it.

But why would you have no problem killing the person who saved your life?
Or better yet, the person who saved Alistair's life?

In my first Dalish playthrough, they had sibling/BFF relationship b/c I didn't know about the option to make them 'in love'. It really should have been more obvious. I mean, I look aty the city elf where you can clearly gush over your fiance, or the DNF origin with Gorim, etc... and I feel bad for my Dalish.

Also, I wish your HN could find out for certain if Gilmore is crushing on them. :/

Oh, I assumed we were talking about us as the player and not as the PC?  Hence all the Janeway references...

That is what I think. I don't know about Flemeth, she's like Eamon to me. I go back and forth.
