30+ pages in 24 hours.  You guys are seriously out of control.


Since I'm not on PC, I'm really confused about this whole toolset thing.  My understanding is that there is tons of dialogue that was never put into the game, is that correct?  Has anyone compiled all it it into one place (or at least all the missing Alistair stuff??)

And on another note...whoever posted the link to the fanfic "A Midwinter's Thaw"...thank you!!  What a great story, one of the best fanfics I've read....doen't seem like a fanfic which is hard to come by.  Does anyone else have some good fanfic recommendations?  You guys are the experts!

Aww, Ali.    DE got similar lines once when I was playing through her Landsmeet ending and trying different options.  The voice acting is great there.  As mad as people get about the dumping, it's obvious that Alistair is anything but callous about it- he's devastated.

Hence why despite the bittersweetness, DE will stick with him no matter what.  I might not run the tragic-est of tragic endings, but it's still tragic enough in my mind that she has to see him marry someone else.  Nevertheless I think there's a certain bitter beauty to the "Chani" ending.  I guess that's why I was always nostalgic about it, enough to re-play her game.

Although I usually do the queen ending, the one I found most affecting and definitely the most virtuous, was the one where they broke up so Alistair could have an heir. The PC stayed on as chancellor.

Heh, I have just always found it weird to ask about his virginity unless already in a relationship.  Seems like a personal thing to ask right out of the blue.

I recall that ejoslin said you can even turn it on when discussing the kingship, by telling him that power is sexy or something.  LOL  Not that I have enough restraint to wait that long.

Hahaha! Romance that spans a few lines. That's funny. x'D I remember mis-clicking a dialogue option before when he asks to spend the night with you. I got like... -73 approval for that, basically reverting him back to 0 Neutral. That was the biggest shocker I've had in the game since my first playthrough. Never thought it could be done.

EDIT: Oh wait no, I think it was during a different conversation. Can't remember which one though...

What kind of fic are you interested in? I'd say "A Midwinter's Thaw" is exceptionally good. It's the pinnacle of awesome. There are not many that come close.

I'm sorry, it's a bit one-sided  as most of the stories are Cousland-related and most of them are smutty, but I'd recommend:

Well, my Chani ending is that she remains his mistress.  No breaking up for the kingdom.  He can still try to have his heir, so Irulan gets a better deal than she otherwise would.

I love all the hints and little details. The mentioning of Nathaniel struck me, too. I half expect him to be the man who was "almost worth it". And Isabella seems to have taught Alistair a few tricks. ;-)

Not yet, though I've heard about the epilogue.  You mean because he basically ditches the throne?  It's just too vague to know what is really going on.  He ditches the throne at some point in the Origins mistress epilogue, too.

Here is my fix! That line is supposed to appear if the relationship is active as well! His response is based on whether you are in a romance or not!

Me too!  When she see Alistair looking all rogue like..reminding her of Nathaniel, and she immediately gets that thought out of her mind...  I imagine him showing up with Anders, and tension ensues.

The whole story is so well thought out, you can tell they have it all planned and aren't just writing it as they go.  They are great at dropping hints, and that's what keep me wanting more!  <prays for Nathaniel/Alistair catfight>

One of my friends chars slept with Alistair and the approval was like 99 or something.  Directly after, he had the char laugh at Alistair.  Dropped the approval down to 0.  I loled.
