That still has BSC errant_knight, I'll temporarily stick up the previous version on my BW page. Give me a minute.
Not a problem, thanks! Say, what's in the optional epilogue fix?

It says it's version 1.03.... Isn't that what it was supposed to be?

Edit: It would do the title justice and could end very bad. It would be also my first Exiled!Alistair story and it's completely different from Undertow or AMWT.

Er, no. Sorry. Much as it may be tempting, it's not considered polite to steal plots and do them 'properly'.klarabella wrote...
Is it allowed to read a fic, complain about, think aout it, find it somewhat interesting and rewrite it to make more sense and become incredibly dark instead of silly?

*tilts head* You mean your own fic or reading someone else's and rewriting it?
Okay, seriously. The language filter is friggin' annoying.

Reading someone else's, be upset because it's done extremely sloppy but the raw base has potential, so you take the base setting and run away with the plot in a completely different direction.LadyDamodred wrote...

I am so good at confusing myself. OK, all of the ones on Nexus have BSC. I do still have one without, but it includes ZDF and I pulled that because it is outdated. I will remove ZDF and upload it to my project page. Just give me a minute...

Ehhh, I don't know. it would depend how specific the situation is. I mean, there's a lot of overlap in fic because everyone has their own take on the story and characters. So certain themes and plot points get repeated, which is fine. But if you're talking about a specific situation, it seems kind of sketchy. A more general/common plot point would be fine, though, imo, since it happens anyway.

An example of what you're thinking of would probably help to see if it's too close or not.

Could you be a Warden, though, if it reminded you of Alistair every day? As his non-king epilogue says with the US ending, after a time he realizes that it isn't the same.SurelyForth wrote...
I've never really thought about what any of my PCs would do in the event of the WC ending because all of them are too selfish to let it happen for reals. Since I'm a "keep busy, busy, busy so time flies by and you get through this faster" sort when things are rough, or I've had my heart broken, I'd be inclined to steer my characters back towards the Wardens. It would be a distraction and give them a renewed sense of purpose after losing some of that after the Blight.
I realize that it's easy to get melodramatic and that lots of ordinary people go on after a death, but I figure the taint would make it more difficult to overcome. Some people like Genevieve could just die inside and lose it later on, some like Duncan get over it and throw themselves into being a Warden, and then there are the Juliens who just can't. For whatever reason, I can't play a duty-bound Warden. Call me Captain Emo.
Chiming in a bit late on this discussion, maybe, but I think that if people actually cared about Alistair, my Warden could go on. Its the lack of any grief for him that would drive her over the edge. If they want a living hero, they ought to care about the one who actually saved them all. Otherwise, they can forget having a live one too - their gratitude seems rather fleeting anyways. <_<

You know, Alistair is staring very intently as your PC walks up to the Joining. I'm sure it's the same regardless of gender, but for the female PC I'd like to think it crosses his mind, "if someone's got to die, I hope it's not the pretty girl."

Our traditional new-game shot. Maricstair in black is good enough to eat. With whipped cream and cherries.

I might actually *bites nails* have to keep him S&S this game. The black retex of the Runic Armor is hot as hell and as a DW, he'd never get the str to wear it.

Neria clearly had the moves going on...she had the beast dead to rights...

THEN she did this strange, amoeba like manuever where she actually merged with the creature...Mages, go figure

and then out of NOWHERE Alistair is suddenly there too getting the kill like a heartbeat behind my PC! WTF?
MY KILL dammit, go get your own ogre...

Of course this means she MUST do the DR...the family that slays together stays together...

This is the original story. You could read it, you may recognize that I was heavily inspired by it, I may put in a reference and you would never guess where my plot is going as I really only take the general idea and transform it into a dark tale of a lost love and a lost son. Okay, the PC would still be losing her mind (it will be ambigious why) and they would still have a child and Alistair would still learn about what happened after he left by reading a her journal. Don't know how else I can describe it.
