Can you explain?  You mean you aren't supposed to get that line unless the romance is already on?  That is entirely possible, because I'm forever turning Ali's romance on without knowing I've done so.

Hahaha! Romance that spans a few lines. That's funny. x'D I remember mis-clicking a dialogue option before when he asks to spend the night with you. I got like... -73 approval for that, basically reverting him back to 0 Neutral. That was the biggest shocker I've had in the game since my first playthrough. Never thought it could be done.

EDIT: Oh wait no, I think it was during a different conversation. Can't remember which one though...

One of my friends chars slept with Alistair and the approval was like 99 or something.  Directly after, he had the char laugh at Alistair.  Dropped the approval down to 0.  I loled.

He is VERY sensitive, isn't he?

I thought the mistress epilogue was more satisfying that the queen epilogue. The mistress and those in a relationship with non-King Alistair have the same one, I think.

That is his response when the romance was not active. There is a mistake in the dialogue that prevents this line from appearing if the romance is active, however he has a seperate response when the romance was active. For those who were awaiting my email last night, I am going to try to send out something and you'll need to let me know if it works, give me a few.

And that Awakening ending blows. After all that time to put him on the throne, he just would take off? No I think it is more likely bugged. Now play through with Alistair having done the US to get really pissed....

I very much dislike the mistress ending, but I don't know if it's for the same reasons other people do. It bugs the hell out of me that after all that time and effort, Alistair basically just abandons the country. Like, wtf?



Also, while hot, I would be seriously put out if Alistair entered a battle dressed in that. Being broken makes after battle sexytimes much less fun.

Me too!  When she see Alistair looking all rogue like..reminding her of Nathaniel, and she immediately gets that thought out of her mind...  I imagine him showing up with Anders, and tension ensues.

The whole story is so well thought out, you can tell they have it all planned and aren't just writing it as they go.  They are great at dropping hints, and that's what keep me wanting more!

Oh my, don't get me started me on Alistair's new looks and fighting skills: long hair, a well hidden tattoo, DUAL-WIELDING two swords, stealthy, sneaky and sly. And 8 years older.

But that's the thing, we don't really know the circumstances of why he leaves.  It's possible he either has to abdicate for some reason, or the succession is secure and it's his time to go to the Calling, etc.  It's just too open-ended to get upset about IMO.  Same with the queen epilogue.  I know a lot of people don't like it because it doesn't specify that Alistair disappears with you.

Alistair: Am I? Fooling myself? Or do you think you might ever... feel the same about me? (he's giving the player an out, if they want to take it -- very vulnerable here)
PC: More joking? You are a very funny man. (set approval to 0 [HAHAHAHAHAHA omg. xDD *ehem* Anyway...])
Alistair: Y-yes, that's me. Funny man. (she just broke his heart, but he's covering it up by laughing)
Alistair: Well, there's... nothing more to discuss, is there? (Sigh) I'll just wander off and swallow my foot. Maybe both of them. Excuse me. (heartbroken but covering it up by being jolly)

Perhaps its a Jon Irenicus thing? don't they just disappear? it doesn't say what the circumstances are.

He must be wearing a Mega Booster ring making him indestructible, hence no need for armor

If I could access Awakening in the toolset, I would look for bugs.  I get pissed when Alistair died and we still ran off together. Maybe I died and ran off to heaven. I don't know.

Let me get into the toolset to get you the exact line....
