So, if Zevran wouldn't make fun of him he would consider a tattoo. Who knew?Elps wrote...
Alistair: So those... designs you have all over your back...
Zevran: They're called tattoos. And I have them in many more places than just on my back, my friend.
Alistair: Err... right. I hear that someone gets those by having needles put the ink under your skin?
Zevran: A great many needles, amongst other things. Yes, that would be true.
Alistair: Didn't that hurt?
Zevran: Ohhh, yes, yes. But it is not so bad, in truth. If you like, I could give you one. I learned a bit of the art myself in Antiva.
Alistair: Oh, no. No, I don't think so.
Zevran: Come, it will just be a small one. Perhaps the symbol of the Grey Wardens? Something manly! Where are my needles?
Alistair: Um... maybe some other time. I'm... I'm going to go stand over here, now.
Edit: And second conversation:
Alistair: I've been thinking about those ink drawings, what did you call them? Tattoos? Are you... still willing to do one?
Zevran: Oh-ho! You've decided to take the plunge, have you? What is a little pain, am I right?
Alistair: I'm not worried about that. I think they look interesting, though I'd want mine... smaller. When can you do it?
Zevran: Not so fast, my friend. There is an entire ritual to how this is done, do you not know? First I need to bathe you in a mixture of olives and rosewater.
Alistair: You need to... bathe me? That seems... odd.
Zevran: No, no, no, not at all. It needs to be worked into your skin, preparing it to receive the ink. The massage is quite pleasurable, do not worry. You are in good hands.
Alistair: The... massage? You're... having me on, aren't you?
Zevran: I might be. I might not be. Shall I describe the rest of the ritual to you?
Alistair: Hmm. No. No, on second thought I'll just pass.
Zevran: Laughs Excellent choice!

I'd say that's more of a Gothic Lolita mage.cmessaz wrote...
You just have to love the punk/mage look.
the story ends regardless, you don't SEE the things the DR may dredge up later, and they have no immediate impact on the game (which is what i base emotions off of, not some long term afteraffect that isn't shown). But thats just me.Maria13 wrote...

OH I do the DR, don't get me wrong. But the emotional impact is SO much less than the US. When you get to that point of slaying the AD...its just...umm well whatever pretty sparkles and glitter, not much meat emotionally. The emotions for the DR come earlier, watching Alistair (or a male PC) have to do the dirty with the swamp witch to save your lives. The fight on Fort Drakon feels...so much less than when you KNOW your PC is going to die and makes that choice.Maria13 wrote...

This would kind of neuter that ending for me. I mean, the whole point is that it's a truly terrible sacrifice. That's what makes it such a strong emotional ending, whether one is in a relationship or not, or even friendly with the other wardens. And it makes the choice of Morrigan's ritual excusable in a way that doing it for personal happiness is not.. Preventing someone from losing their very soul is about as strong a reason as you can have to take such a risk.
That's why my PC always does the DR. It's more to give the PC something, anything to hope for in the WC ending, even if it's not true. I think in the WC ending, even though she won't suicide, when her Calling finally does come, it's sort of a relief.
And Morrigan lovers think their romance ends poorly. I think the WC/US is the most tragic b/c there isn't even a chance they will ever be together ever again. Ever.
Personally I think the DR is a huge cheat. I find the US ending uniquely satisfying (and the conversations at the gate are especially poignant knowing whats going to happen. Oghren's at 100 friendly is especially so). That said I can't NOT save Alistair and the PC in a female run because I don't romance anyone else in the game. I want them to be "happy" in as much as they can be in the game. So I have not done a WC ending with Alistair at romanced status or US either. I only did as much as I could for a save to send to Cmessaz of the gate scene. (And to get the dialogues for my fic).
Did it once on Roland. Never ever ever again.
I disagree, because I think the DR is wonderfully morally ambiguous, a great plot twist... But then I would think that.
Well, I think emotional impact is obviously a subjective thing. My take on the US is yes, it's terribly sad but it ends THERE at least for one of the characters whereas with the DR the pain and the pleasure and the whole horrible mess that is life continues... So my view is that the DR is stronger emotionally but that's just me.
They are real, from the toolset. Maaaaaybe they could be reactivated, like Terra reactivated the post-break-up banter between Alistair and Morrigan.Sandtigress wrote...
Klarabella, are those real banters, like from the toolset? I've never heard those either, and I'm pretty sure they're not in the Wiki. We're not talking about made-up banters like what SurelyForth and I do in the conversations thread, are we?

It was deleted immediately D':
awww she looks so cute!
it really suits her anywayssince she's a twelve year old elf
If I saw a twelve year old wearing that I'd force them to go back home and change
I would too but
the look IS based off a twelve year olds outfitor is she older now...
That doesn't really help, lol. Then again, I was in anime fandom for years, I should be used to little kids in creepy skimpy outfits. Not that it makes me want to tell them to cover up any less...like what the gave my Talim the see through pants! She's 15 years old!Um can ask what fanfictions yall are talking about I know very well of the A midwinters Thaw, but the other ones?oh yeah I have some drafts I just uploaded to my laptop from my cell phone anyone want to read them and see if any are worth that I finish writing them?

Like sabreene pointed out, the white roots thing is caused by lack of stubble .tnt file to match the hair colour tint. Specifically, if you apply a hair colour like say, t3_har_red then the game tries also to apply 'stubble' tint named t1_stb_red to the scalp/hair roots. A cheap way to deal with it could be probably making simple copy of black or other dark colour stubble tint file and renaming it to what the game loooks for. Side benefit would be a bit more realistic hair rootsyukidama wrote...
I want to stab myself in the face. Every time I find a nice hair color I want to use it never works right for the vanilla hairstyles. I always get crazy bright white roots, someone shoot me >:|
Alternatively you can also take the t3_har_colour file you have applied to your character, make a copy of it and rename that copy to t1_stb_colour and it should work too.
(this is more convenient approach as it doesnt' require tweaking character morphs with Toolset, plus it will work for all future character who get this hair colour as well)

I can't even say anything about the writing style as I probably wouldn't notice a bad style unless it's really really bad. A lot can be lost in translation.

Well yeah, I'm aware of the Lolita style but I'm just not that big a fan when it is made all skimpy and used on underaged characters :x

I was just reading banter today, actually. It used to be on the wiki a very long time ago, but was removed. There is a lot of party banter that I've never heard in the game. It irritates me b/c some of them are quite funny.
