I doubt Alistair would take such upon himself. It would be Duncan doing it while he's standing on the side lines playing pocket pool.

Agreed. No wonder he looks so fearful & nervous! And it puts Jory's, "I won't do this, I have a wife and kids" lines in a whoooole new light!
Before i got natural bodies, my daughter stripped Alistair, Jory, Daveth and her PC down to their skivvies for the Joining...We both had a good laugh over that. Wish I had gotten her to get pictures now...sabreene wrote...

I guess, it's a fitting contribution to the topic "licking a lamppost" ... Oh, I'm a big fan of meat. *dies laughing*
Alistair: Have you ever licked a lamppost in winter?
Lady: Oh, I'm a big fan of meat.
*cries*

I was just reading banter today, actually. It used to be on the wiki a very long time ago, but was removed. There is a lot of party banter that I've never heard in the game. It irritates me b/c some of them are quite funny.
Pleeeeeeease share. I love the game banter - it's one of my favorite things about it!
Anyone with the toolset feel like sharing any other untriggered banters? Please?
Morrigan: We seem to be going quite out of his way to revive this Arl Eamon.
Alistair: We need his help. What choice do we have?
Morrigan: Surely there must be another option than searching out a holy relic, the existence of which is not even certain. This is a rather thin hope to hang our success upon.
Alistair: Arl Eamon didn't seem to think so.
Morrigan: This is the same man who lacked even moderate awareness of anything that occurred within his own castle?
Alistair: You don't know anything about him, so don't judge him. I think it's our best hope.
Morrigan: To succeed against the darkspwn? or to save your ailing father figure?
Alistair: Enough! Just drop it.

In some things...yes.
Edit: I'm glad that mentally we're all 12 year olds.

I did that too, before I realised I got their gear anyway. There were several "joining" rituals that felt a little like some strange, like blood sugar sex magic. Ritual death of Jory included, along with the overdose of Daveth.
Anyone else disppointed that the "joining" in Awakenings was just so tame? Hmm. Or was that just me..:innocent:
Is the release of that dratted thing so soon? Wee.LadyDamodred wrote...
Hey, enjoy it while you can. At least Alistair is still alive in those shots. Come Tuesday, you'll all be seeing my Darkspawn Hero thrusting his sword through the heart of the Warden King.

I was disappointed by how blase it was, not to mention I shudder at Varel's delivery of the Joining lines.

Yea you don't get to feel this dark ambiance as you swallow Duncan's taint.
