I have a hard time with my female PCs and armor, because I like them to look like women still, and the pauldrons on massive armor bother me.  Not on male characters for some reason, but on my female PCs.  I like the look of Varathorn's Armor and tried to put my blood mage/arcane warrior in that, but the fatigue penalty was too high so I had to switch her to Wade's heavy/Evon the Great.

Most of the time it's not an issue because I play rogues generally.  The light armor has its own problems, but I've reconciled myself to Shadow of the Empire and I do like the Warden Shadow Armor (obviously, as you can see from my screenshots).

I'll play around with Ali's armor on this game.  I generally throw him in the WCA and forget about it until the Landsmeet.

I like how girl's look without the pauldron's, too.  That's why Lya always wears the Blood dragon armor and not Alistair.  It purely aestetics.  I would put Alistair in the WCA before RtO came out, or perhaps the dragonbone, depending on my mood.

That being said, I just like the look of massive armor in general.  I've never understood the desire for female characters to have massive armor that shows off their figure.  I, and my characters, wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.  XD

yes chantry boy... they are *lies*... if only you had a token of Duncan... something to remember him by!

i used the toolset, that's all. plus some body mods (Natural Bodies, i believe). i only make the smut for fun, i usually do serious stuff, like romantic kiss cutscenes (will also make kisses for Alistair) so i'm not only a smut king, lol, promise! =)

You know that you could seriously fill this whole thread up just by posting toolset stuff. I love seeing the VO notes. The voice acting for Alistair is so good that I haven't seen anything that up-ended my impressions of scenes, but it's still interesting.

Yeah, nothing in the notes really shocked me.  There are some lines that can sorta be interpreted in a couple ways, but it seems like I got most of them correct.  The only one that I was off on, and was psyched to be wrong, was with Zevran.  When you reject the earring the first time, and then he offers it again and you ask if it's a proposal.  His line "Not unless you wish it to be." always made me feel like I was trapping him in something.  And then I read the VO note and it said 'hopeful'.  I was all "WOOT!"

It's really only the pauldrons that bother me, on women.  I do like the curves, but probably because I hardly ever have a character who wears heavy armor.  I like me the rogues way too much.  Massive armor for dwarves, though.  In fact, the dwarven armors are some of my favorites for anyone.  Who was it that posted an Ali shot with him wearing Legion armor and carrying an Aeducan shield??  He carries the shield of Aeducan for my DNF game, too.

Hmm, I went and played through the Landsmeet and made Alistair sole king (esc key makes it like 5 minutes long lol) to see the whole breakup thing. It kind of amuses me how the whole 'making an heir, continuing the Theirin line" only seems super important when it comes to making excuses :x



Gonna go get my new character to Redcliffe and test the dialog patch now

Oh yeah, Zevran has some interesting ones.  I was worried on games where I had him as friend (which is all my games where he's not romanced) that he felt trapped, too, but the VO notes confirmed what I had suspected, which is that he wants to stay with the Warden regardless.  Both Zev and Ali make really good friends as well as lovers.

Yeah, it's why I never really make too big a deal about the whole heir thing. If Anora can be left on the throne by herself without ever remarrying and providing heirs, if HNM can be king, if you can tell Alistair that making an heir isn't necessary and he responds positively... I don't see why continuing the line has to be necessary or why an heir cannot be named later. There's always Fergus and his potential future kids Get a better excuse for breaking up with me if you're hardened, unhardened I can understand though.

From an RP perspective I guess they'll try but select someone when nothing happens. I guess I shouldn't expect much in terms of reaction from Ferelden, since apparently their Queen or King can go missing and they're just all just "LOL WELL THEY'RE PROBABLY OFF ADVENTURING THE STORY ISN'T OVER YET :B" You could be dead in a ditch for all they care
