II can tell you, it's worth the investment. The screenshots in TGA (paid only I think) are such good quality, I can't play any game without it.  Even if it's just sh#ts and giggles, it's high quality giggles at least.

I have to agree that the mods add a lot.  I'm glad I overcame my nervousness about using them.  Well, mostly overcame.

Speaking of mods, I know you are really into the Dalish lore so I wish you could play the Dalish mage mod, too!!  It unlocks the mage class for the Dalish origin and thus far I'm really pleased with it.  I'm playing a Dalish shapeshifter right now.

I don't know why, but it is the most intrigued I've been with any of my PCs' back stories.  I'm thinking I actually have to pull out my old MUSH character formation sheets and write up some more detailed backstory for her.  And do some more reading of the codexes on the elven gods etc.  Somehow it just adds something to the story to have her be a mage.  Like, I was thinking that Tamlen probably was so interested in the mirror not for his own sake, but because he knew that she was into arcane lore and so he went in for her.  It adds some definite to the origin story.

Yes, you neeeeeed it. Seriously, the difference is amazing. The screenshots are easily cropped without ANY distortion on the tga settings, I have to do zero tweaking in photoshop except in the dark scenes like camp sometimes to bump the exposure up.  There's even a setting that repeats the capture every 10 seconds (or what ever you set it at) til you hit the key again...great for those scenes you want multiple angles of without the in-game delay/lag spikes you get from print screen. AND you always know your screenshots are being saved. As long as the program is running;)

I have to say he's probably the most handsome elf I've seen in the game other than Soris. Serissia helped out a lot with changing my conception of him as a sibling type (as my last DEF had) to lover for this one.

Yes, it works. You could make new characters via character creator and apply the face to an old savegame.

I did the same thing with .das and .mor files and it worked like a charm.

Hey, you're not allowed to impugn THE KISS!  That is the hottest kiss in the vanilla game.  Well, Alistair's repaired pre-tent kiss is pretty hot, too, as is the swooping kiss, but this one is right up there.  Screenshots can't convey it because it goes by pretty fast, but it's nice the way he grabs her head, then moves his hands around the back of her neck and they rock a little as he's kissing her.

We're so jaded now by tmp's scenes, but compared to a lot of stuff in vanilla, this is awesome and was my only reason to play a femdwarf.  LOL  (sorry, Gilsa!)
