This is actually a pleasant turn of events. If the male PC romanced Leliana, that means Alistair was not man enough to declare his feelings for her and just decided to swallow it haha!

Well, things would progress differently with someone there versus without. If the PC is a presence, Alistair might not spend as much time with Leliana as he does when it's just the two of them and Morrigan and Sten until the ally gathering starts.

Aww, why? She really respects him and would never make a move on him with the PC around. It makes way more sense for him to be with her than with Morrigan and it's not like they get any kind of happily ever after.
