Ok, so now it's clear. Alistair never cared about justice, since he spared Howe whom everyone says was behind most of Loghain's activities and was his second. He does not kill Loghain because he is afraid he might backstab him, because clearly he doesn't mind sparing THE backstabber of the story, Howe.

Alistair shows his true colors at last. The idiot.

I get to kill Howe again?!  Hooray!

Why did this make me laugh?

The thought didn't even occurr to me but you do have a point. ^_^ And I have to admit, my expectations were so low that I'm strangely intrigued now. I might buy it.

You realize what this means right, Arl Howe defeated the blight in that game.

Put that in your ten-inch pipe and smoke it.

Or...this is really AU and has no actual impact on the game and characters?  And how much might he really have learned about Howe?  We don't actually get that much info as the PC, except for the HN who *knows* what he is.

I'm sure there are lots of things in this game that don't fit right with the characters.  It doesn't change anything.

I mean he does not kill Loghain for that reason (the backstabbing).
He kills him out of pure lust for revenge.

IF he in fact actually killed him in this version. Dunno yet.

Uhhhh....yeah. Are you new? J/k but I thought it was common knowledge that he killed Loghain out of lust for revenge.

One of my favorite moments for Alistair.

Nope, it has impact on characters, as it shows what will become of them without the PC.

We already know about Howe and how he is behind most of Loghain's activities, even when not an HN.
If I am going to spare a man like him, I would have done some homework.

If he doesn't mind sparing Howe, because he needs help, then killing Loghain makes him an idiot as Howe is no where near as useful as Loghain.

So him killing Loghain has nothing rational about it. It's just pure vengeance. Alistair is now officially an idiot and I must admit that I was starting to like the guy but now I reverted back to normal Posted Image

Call me weird but i see nothing wrong with wanting to execute the man who have attempted to kill you and bunch of your mates out of a paranoia. It's just a practical way to ensure he doesn't try it again.

Hey I said I was dead, the arch demon is still alive!

He lets Alastair (or Dr. Blight as I have decided to call him in the AU) take the final blow after weakening it. Howe lives and becomes king in the aftermath.

All hail king Howe!

It's weird when you also have no problem sparing the man that was his second and was behind most of his actions.

Maybe he didn't get a chance to kill Howe. Things might have played out differently in the AU. Eamon may not be alive to get the warning.

And maybe he didn't kill Loghain. I'd like to know.
