It is my dog's name from now on. Too cute, though I have to say it was likely *shudders* Leliana who named him.

We are all alive and well (and about to recruit Leliana lol)

Though Alistair was stuck in an aggressive stance, what does that mean~

If you guys want to really feel bad about it, you need to play. I suck at screenshots. The part where he looks at his fallen companions, and looks up as you plunge the sword, is very sad.

I doubt it. You meet Dog on the way to Lothering and chances are he would have been named before arriving, if only for somethingto do. And given Leliana's pet-naming tends towards the gag-worthy 'Schmooples' I don't think she'd go with something like that.

OK, my official opinion for what its worth: Story disaster. Totally unbelievable. But not as bad as I expected. It is fun, but it's just a carnage fest, good thing it was only 5 bucks because I honestly don't feel the need to ever play again.

Probably only nerds like me care, but every time they screw with the story even for mindless "fun", it makes me less willing to buy in the future.  If they don't respect their own material, how do they expect fans to?

Maybe the joke is on me thinking that a video game can actually be somewhat literate and deep rather than buffoonish.  I hate them that they actually made me like a favorite character less with this idiotic DLC.  Better never to see Alistair in another installment again, I think.

At least he saw the light before he died.

Seriously though, anythign itneresting in this DLC? Story wise? Plot wise?
Because, regardless of my prievious excitment about Alistair's decisions (namely Howe), I feel this doesn't make much sense, because I know nothing about the logic and reasoning he used to make those choices.

So nothing itneresting at all happened?

I just finished it.  I can say that the end fight would actually be pretty challenging on Nightmare.  I played on Easy and they had the Archdemon down to 25% before I finished off Alistair and Barkspawn.

Was it worth $5?  Yeah, sure.  I spent more than $5 on coffee whenever I go out.

Was it fun?  Not as the Vanguard.  I found his skills pretty crap.  I controlled the Shriek for pretty much the entire DLC.

Was it believable?  Not really.  Some of it is plausible.  Zathrian was kind of a dick.  I can see Alistair siding w/ the Lady of the Forests because it seemed right.  Plus Alistair had no prior connection to the Dalish other than Zevran (which doesn't count as much).  There's a lot that just doesn't make sense though.  For instance why was Leliana wearing a Chantry robe (which would mean she's unhardened btw) for the final fight?  Seriously, a winter coat would offer more protection.

Well apparently he romanced Leliana, got the werewolves, golems and templars. Eamon was not revived.

I'm glad they went with 'Barkspawn' instead of 'Rabbit', which is, I'm sure, what Leliana would have picked.

They pretty much admitted the Redcliffe maid wasn't his mother (making Fiona his mother) with Goldanna's codex.

"Alistair believed her to be his half-sister" or something to that regard.

Honestly, the only reason I didn't get up at the crack of dawn to buy this is because of Awakening. It was a major disappointment to me. Sure, it was fun, and this DLC feels the same way. Fun to play but story disaster. I just hope that they will do better in the future, now that I have spent most of my BW points.

So he expects you to go all the way to the Circle Tower to save Connor and Isolde but he can't even go to Haven for Eamon? And if he picked the Templars, did he kill Isolde or Connor? And how did he handle having to make that call. Incidentally, if you go to the Circle for the first time to save Connor, can you mention to Greagoir that you need the mages?

Why the hell Eamon isn't revived?
So they forced us to look for a mythical item, while Alsitair conveniently didn't waste his time doing it? Why?

(One reason I despise AU fics cause its just a tag some people put on their fanfics so they can retool the NPCs in the game to whatever they want them to be). Its not "relatable" to me I guess. I dunno. I suck at expressing myself *facepalm*

And here you hit on why fanfiction and this DLC both hit the same nerve with me.  If you're going to do it, make it real and believable and... something.

I killed Alistair in my first playthrough of the Warden Commander ending this weekend and I cried actual tears.  These shots just make me roll my eyes and wonder what combustible substance they handed out at this development meeting.

That's it.  This DLC is crappy fanfiction.  I hadn't hit on why I found it so Posted Image before.  Thank you!
