Or Alistair can take good advice and still fail. Or would his using mages, dwaves, and Dalish (the less powerful choices, remember) cause him to win?

He did become king by agreeing to marry Anora. No mention of Leliana in HIS codex though.
Maybe Leliana being his lover was just a rumor...but usually they don't mention it unless it's true.

Wait...KoP you mean your admitting defeat just to preserve her status quo?
The Illusive Man disapproves - 10000
Morrigan disapproves -10, and approves 5
What defeat?
If Morrigan was the one who advised Alistair, that means she had very poor advice.
And TIM wouldn't dissaprove. The Status quo shows that without the PC, everyone fails, and TIM would approve.
She advised him. He still was the fool to lead his forces into battle, not Morrigan.
You spit on Loghain's defense by doing this!

I think we could probably agree that noone in this game is intelligent except for the PC.

He was probably thinking about how lucky he was to die too. Right before thinking he is a terrible Warden.

The whole thing is one ginormous weeenie stroke for the PC's ego.

They are secretly a part of the Warden. Kylon was his/her conjoined twin (who got seperated and is potentially a different race) and Bhelen was their big toe.

Probably only nerds like me care, but every time they screw with the story even for mindless "fun", it makes me less willing to buy in the future. If they don't respect their own material, how do they expect fans to?cmessaz wrote...
OK, my official opinion for what its worth: Story disaster. Totally unbelievable. But not as bad as I expected. It is fun, but it's just a carnage fest, good thing it was only 5 bucks because I honestly don't feel the need to ever play again.
Maybe the joke is on me thinking that a video game can actually be somewhat literate and deep rather than buffoonish. I hate them that they actually made me like a favorite character less with this idiotic DLC. Better never to see Alistair in another installment again, I think.
I really do agree with you. Wonder what David Gaider thinks?
Another thing that really, really rankles DAO managed to bring in female gamers like no other game and now... They've just lost it, might as well play Modern Warfare or some of those other mindless hack 'n' slashers. Here's me trying to convince people that games can be intelligent, emotionally involving and challenging and they go and do this...
Bitter. You bet.
*hugs* totally agree

Honestly, every single decision contradicts what he would approve of in Origins. I'd say they were doing this on purpose - for the lulz, for pulling our chain. I don't believe one second that they intend to destroy the character they built up in Origins.Costin_Razvan wrote...
Oh it is relevant. in the way what kind of decisions Alistair was willing to do, So much for morality on his part.

I think they said something about it being an experiment in some interview I read.

So...the lack of a PC means that Jowan never managed to poison Eamon or was too late to stop Eamon from announcing who he was? The PC had nothig to do with that! FAIL!cmessaz wrote...
