Kryyptehk. They have a good chance of killing the archdemon right at the end with all the darkspawn having crushed their armies at the gates.

She probably takes that chance.

Still, she could have deserted in the middle of the battle. She can turn into animals for Maker's sake! She could have turned into a bird and flown away. And he following because she thought it was funny is still not like her.

Yeah...see my latest post about that. They do have a good chance of killing the archdemon, even with the entire horde bearing down on them, she always was one to take chances ( especially after already doing the ritual with Alistair )

I noticed this too and I'm actually a little ashamed.

Maria13 is right, bedtime over here. Let's hope we have forgotten this unholy piece of programming by tomorrow.

Once the battle was clearly lost (and it was probably clear sine the beginning), she would have fled, not remained to be slaughtered.

Addai- honestly I don't feel like doing much Alistair gushing right now. I must handwave this DLC or he is getting executed a couple of times.

This. I like debating about this kind of stuff. I'll go back to my "Alistair is the man of my heart" stuff when discussing plot holes becomes uninteresting. And what trolls are you talking about, whoever said something about trolls?

She probably takes that chance.

Does she have to be nearby for the ritual to work, though? If not she could have just left so she'd survive no matter what and if the Archdemon is killed in the next nine months she gets her god baby.

What stuff does he dig his heels in for? Isolde and Connor? He stands aside as you either butcher a child or use blood magic on a woman.

Well...there's the 'I won't leave Ferelden to the Blight', the 'I'm not leading so you do it' which he won't give in on, and the 'I'm not fighting with Loghain and might leave after all despite what I said earlier.'

I agree. She wouldn't have stayed just to get killed.

They still have the werewolves, and they got a very good chance to kill the Archdemon. I believe it was said it was a hell of a fight even on easy, with the archdemon getting to 25%.

So mind you. while their armies did get slaughtered. Alistair and his group was able to reach the top of Fort Drakon.

So basically, Alistair wasn't rescuing Anora from Howe, but Riordan? And from Loghain not Howe? That makes perfect sense.

About being near the AD, that's what I was thinking. The ritual works if she is at the gates, why not a couple of miles away?

And I see what you mean about Alistair digging his heels in. I guess I was thinking about things that actually affected the game, and I completely forgot about Loghain. You're right.

if alistair is an idiot for his poor choices in this dlc then that also means so are all the companions and nps coz they went along with it all even morrigan who states frequently survival is more important than anything

Or perhaps Loghain left an order for Howe to arrest any Warden that come in Fereldan. Or gave that kind of order to Cauthrien and ordered her to return to Denerim while he charged.

There are simply too many plot holes if Loghain does not charge. ( Unless you get a Loghain codex entry )

None of us are saying that the rest of the companions aren't. In fact, I'm saying that the PC is (apparently) the only sane person in Thedas.
