Argh, I'm not talking about this anymore. KoP can argue about it, since I've agreed with everything he has said so far, until he says something I don't agree withWas planning to turn in a while ago anyway, plus this is a seriosuly loaded issue, you're probably right it's not a good idea to go on with discussing this.
Thank you. I'm in no way trying to stifle people's right to debate but this is a rather loaded issue. I've lost friends from arguing about this kind of stuff and I like (most) of you

The concept is the same.
If it's beneficial health wise, we do not have to ask for the permission of kids. As parents, the health of their children is their responsability.
The degree of benefit vs the nature of a procedure does factor in, though. There is not a massive bonus in circumcision compared to vaccination, and vaccination does not involve permanently altering a person's body. I know most European medical groups do not consider it offering enough benefit to suggest it on a massive scale of elective snips, whereas vaccination is considered vital to avoid deadly and highly infectious diseases that threaten the whole of the population.
Medical authorites tend to disagree alot on the subject of circumcision and it's benefits, where as the majority are in agreement on the necessity of vaccination.
If the parents are convinced about the benefits, they are entitled to do it.
If not, then not.
It's simple.

I agree but I say we all drop the subject, given the fact this is serious argument fodder. I've been on forums where people left the site because of arguments about circumcision. I'm wary discussing it.
What a silly reason.
Have you ever been on a parenting forum? Yeah, people are supportive up until you disagree with their parenting decisions, even politely. There are more arguments there than in politic forums.
Circumcision and breastfeeding decisions cause the most drama I have ever seen in any forum/message board. Followed closely by co-sleeping, cloth diapers vs diposable, and vaccines vs anti-vaccines. You are safe discussing Exile Alistair Vs Loghain. Believe me. I'm just glad when I had my kids it was well before all these things were hot topics. Boys were circumcised, babies were bottlefed without reproach, and cloth diapers were not even on the radar.

I agree, except in the matter of female genital mutilation, which is mainly done to adolescent girls for the sole purpose of sexual control. And now I'll drop it too

Lol, I tried the cloth diapering thing, it doesn't work too well, my son soaked the diapers through:lol:. But I did breastfeed but I feel no need to hound people about their decisions. That is why I left the forum I was on, because some of the groups there were so self-righteous. It's nice being on a forum where we can argue about a fictional character killing another fictional character;)

Because with Anderstair, you are not potentially have sex with a clone of Alistair's father?

I have to say, I absolutely love the little smile on the PC in tmp's modded scene. It's one of my many favorite parts.
I love this pic. Muscular backs are better than boobs, butts and sausages combined.

Of course they are. Never said they weren't. I was merely stating that many people do not see it as having benefits, and thus, do not have it routinely performed. I think most modern societies world wide allow it, elective or not, religous or not, provided the proceedure is performed by people who are medically trained.
That the whole concept varies world wide, from culture to culture, is even more interesting, especially when you cross racial, ethnic, religous, and national boundaries and find how motivations remain the same, or differ greatly.

Actually, I don't even associate that hair with Cailain as much as Zevran anyway xD It's definitely the Maric thing that bothers me more (combined with the fact that it is an ugly hairstyle).

I'm weird but that is my favorite part of a man's body. Hence why I like Ali so much, Zev just doesn't have the same musculatur.
