Nope, it's an Easter Egg. The kitteh army of doom is a special treat after entering Denerim's marketplace a certain number of times.



My only gripe is they can't be recruited in your army as a bonus. I'd take the cats over any of the other 4 factions anyday!

Uh not to detrack the thread but I got an Alistair/HNM question please. On this playthrough I'm going to have different endings for my HNM and one of them will be marrying Anora. I've hardened Alistair because he will be King in almost all my endings except where I marry Anora.

How can I go about making sure Alistair doesn't grab the throne even with him hardened and without sparring Loghain lol. The only way I can think of is arrange for Alistair n Anora to marry but have Alistair kill Loghain cause we know Anora won't marry him then. Can anyone help?

You dual Loghain and defeat him. Then have Alistair kill him.

I must be doing something wrong somewhere.  I guess it's just not possible to rule with Anora when Alistair's hardened.  I even had Alistair n Anora engaged  and when it came to the landsmeet I dualed Loghain n let Alistair kill him.  Anora even made her announcement of not marrying her father's killer but there was no where for me to say that I would rule beside Anora.  Is it even possible for my HNM to rule with Anora even if Alistair's hardened?

I thought it was possible to rule with her, but that you had to be engaged to Anora yourself beforehand and support her in the landsmeet... but I've never done it myself, so I'm not sure.

I think if you even mention them marrying you lose the option to marry yourself.

If a Male Human Noble has worked out a marriage arrangement with Anora (at Eamon's Estate) -and- then at the Landsmeet proclaims that he will rule at Anora's side as her husband without personally killing her father beforehand, Anora will immediately step forward to accept the throne and declare the hero to be her husband, the King Consort, the General of her armies and the Hero who will save Ferelden from the Blight. She will then order the nobles at the Landsmeet to gather their forces and await the King Consort's command. The completed journal entry will also refer to him as king consort. Nevertheless she will tell him that he is only to be prince consort should the subject come up in a later dialogue with her during her coronation, and the epilogue slideshow will also refer to him as prince consort as well. The game is thus a bit inconsistent in this regard. -from the wiki

I know you can do that with Alistair unhardened, but because I want to use this same character for all my HNM endings without backtracking many pages in the game I went ahead and hardened Alistair.  Because in all my endings he's going to be king except 1 lol.

It also says this, "you cannot match Anora with Alistair and keep the option for the Warden to marry."



I'm not sure about killing Loghain, though. Alistair can't do it, and your noble can't do it or she won't marry you. So either he has to live, or maybe one of the members in your party can kill him.

Ya I read that.   There's no way I'll be able to spare Loghain so there's only one way my HNM is going to be able to rule with Anora,  I'll have to backtrack to whenever I hardened Alistair n not allow that to happen.  Ugh n that was before the Deep Roads and the Elves,  I think I screwed myself lmao
