Ya I read that.   There's no way I'll be able to spare Loghain so there's only one way my HNM is going to be able to rule with Anora,  I'll have to backtrack to whenever I hardened Alistair n not allow that to happen.  Ugh n that was before the Deep Roads and the Elves,  I think I screwed myself lmao

I think you're right. If you want to kill Loghain and rule with Anora, Alistair has to take the kill. And if he's hardened he'll assume the crown, so he has to be unhardened to do it.

Hardened or unhardened I don't think it matters if you spare loghain. Just arrange your marriage prior to the landsmeet! DO NOT arrange Alistair/Anora! That will not give you the option.

edit: And don't let him fight loghain. Trust me I have done this.

I did that too, but because Alistair's hardened after he killed Loghain it automatically jumped to Alistair taking the throne lol. 
The only way I'm going to get the HNM ruling with Anora is with Alistair unhardened cause no way am I sparring Loghain  lol.

You should, because there is some cool dialogue with him after the landsmeet. I believe Loghain deserves to die, but again there is some cool father-in-law talk that you are missing out on.

I think you're right. If you want to rule and you want to kill Loghain, Alistair has to be unhardened.

Spare Loghain. Really! Do it! If you want to marry Anora, it's the best reason you can have for doing so.
Just let Alistair go. If he is your noble's best buddy, you can always roleplay that he is very sad about it afterwards and will always feel guilty for driving his friend away.

Also if you can stomach sparing Loghain you can always get the redeemer ending that way too, kill two birds with one stone. More power to you if you can, I have never been able to stand having that man in my camp without wanting to either gouge his eyes out or mine...either will do at that point...if the idea of having him in your party rankles just make sure you do everything else you need to do before the endgame and then do Landsmeet, and then go to Redcliffe (and end)

You know what makes me feel incredibly dirty? My first foray into writing fanfiction since ... ever and the very first scene I'm writing has to be smut from chapter who-knows-what ... 20 or something. If it will be used at all, that is.

That should be telling me something, right? Like I spend too much time reading the kink meme.



Don't look at me like that, Alistair! It's actually not pointless smut but a characterization thing, I keep telling myself it is.

rofl. I can write smut...I'm just shy about people reading that stuff by me. And smut in the name of characterization is perfectly justified. Its when it goes off on a crazy AU tangent that gets me all in a tizzy.

I am extremely picky about Fics but if its in character, I can justify any amount of weirdness.  If it makes no sense to me I can't stomach it.  (And tend to be rather vocal if I dislike something) though hopefully not brutal.

I didn't know I could write smut but it's easier as Englisch is not my mother tongue so there's this little distance that makes it possible, obviously. I'm not sure I could write smut in German.

And honestly, I'm looking forward to see what other people think. I will look for beta readers once I have a few chapters ready. Maybe someone in here would want the job ... but prepare for strange grammar and loopy expressions.

Really, my own idea has me hooked. A lot more than the ideas I had before and couldn't bring myself to write down.

I agree. Nothing wrong with a little smut I haven't written fanfic in years, but I know sometimes you just feel like writing a little smut piece. Sometimes it can be incorporated into a larger piece to give it more depth, sometimes it's just like a nice little piece of candy all on its own Either way, nothing wrong with writing it!
