Aww. Don't you want to see this scene:
Alistair at the Landsmeet with Loghain on his knees. Alistair lifts his sword, stares at Loghain and says "And by the way, this is our future Queen. She is from Orlais, you know..."

I think you can use the natural bodies for the shape (they're closer to default) and then replace the default texture they come with with one from realistic look that gives the guys some body hair. Or perhaps the All in One package allows to select that too, i didn't check.sylvanaerie wrote...

thanks TMP I may have to look into that. Do I need a chargenmor xml for it or does it not require one?"

No, since these are shape mods rather than changes to the character creator, you only need to copy/extract relevant .dds files (the textures) to replace natural bodies ones with the realistic look ones. The game should then use them automatically.sylvanaerie wrote...

There's no mystery: Because werewolves and golems are tougher opponents. The only time I actually had to pay attention was fighting the golems. And if they had made the final fight a real fight, they would have had to create a cutscene for Alistair defeating the archdemon.Axekix wrote...
Well, you do get to 'hear' the Archdemon speak! Sort of...
I was more curious about Alistair's story minus the Warden than anything, and it turned out to be quite the cluster****. I wonder why Bioware chose to make Ali look so incompetent.
There is absolutely no story here. In this case, alternate universe= nothing has to make sense, it's all for lulz on the cheap. Too bad there weren't any lulz. I mean, I don't play hack and slash but even for that genre I expected more.

Wow, you actually were moved by any of it? I thought it was all ridiculous so there was no emotional impact for me at all. Alistair is on screen all of 5 seconds and then explodes in a virulent walking bomb-esque fountain of blood. Srsly guys? LOL Duncan's death scene in Origins was more moving.Master Shiori wrote...
Darkspawn Chronicles is pretty much what you'd expect: replaying the siege of Denerim as a Darkspawn Vanguard where you only get to burn buildings and slaughter people. Hardly any character development and only a little info on your companions.
However, seeing the dead companions on top of Fort Drakon was disturbing.
The death scenes for Leliana and Morrigan were horrible.
Just watching Morri's broken body laying on the ground was sickening, especially considering she might have been pregnant..
Same goes for poor Leliana.
Now I'm not exactly a fan of Alistair, although I consider him a loyal companion and a friend, but the way he died in chronicles was just disgusting.
You'd think they'd at least allow him to die on his feet, sword in hand while fighting. Just as every other companion did.
Watching that scene, I half expected him to kiss the feet of that Hurlock Vanguard before getting scewered...

More moving? As in saying that Duncan and Cailan's deaths weren't moving? I find, and found , it immensely so, I can hardly bear to watch it.
I imagine that I would feel just as bad about seeing the companions die in this, as well. The writers may have chosen to make it so that the companions couldn't make a single good decision without the warden's presence, but rather than see that as something that has anything to do with the characters, I would take issue with the lack of character continuity.
Edit: Oh, by the way, all the unpleasantness about Leliana has made me like her much more. Probably some kind of balancing reactions. You'll be seeing many more pictures of her in my screenshots.

rofl. I can write smut...I'm just shy about people reading that stuff by me. And smut in the name of characterization is perfectly justified. Its when it goes off on a crazy AU tangent that gets me all in a tizzy.
And honestly, I'm looking forward to see what other people think. I will look for beta readers once I have a few chapters ready. Maybe someone in here would want the job ... but prepare for strange grammar and loopy expressions.
Really, my own idea has me hooked. A lot more than the ideas I had before and couldn't bring myself to write down.
Catching up after a morning without the internet. *sobs*
I can read stuff for you, if you want! I'm all about the strange grammar and loopy writing. I don't know if I could be a dedicated beta reader, though.
Re: writing smut. I think it's fun but I'm fairly terrible at it. I'm actually writing practice scenes for another story I might do, and I'm getting a little better. Unfortunately, the next chapter of my story has sex, but it's hard for me to publish because it's Heavy and it makes me feel a bit awful for putting anyone through it.

Totally agree on the chest/body hair thing on men. I really am not very fond of smooth/shaven man bodies. It's like fonding a large woman with no boobs. Man-body hair pleasantly tickles.

I meant that the companion deaths in DS weren't moving. I would have expected to feel something watching Alistair die, but it was all so ridiculous and boring and that scene was so clipped it was anti-climactic.errant_knight wrote...

You're giving the DLC too much credit. Nothing in it is story-based, so it's not that the NPCs made bad decisions, it's that werewolves are tougher to fight so Alistair must have sided with the werewolves. We need some golems so he sided with the golems. There is no dialogue or cutscene, or even imaginative setting, so personally I felt nothing killing Teagan or Ser Perth or Wynne or Zevran. Leliana in her Chantry robe is so out of place that it's not even like killing Leliana (and I might have actually enjoyed that a little bitI imagine that I would feel just as bad about seeing the companions die in this, as well. Body Model: Theseus Relaxed (unless you want your little soldier standing at attention)
Bodys Special Texture: RL Theseus Hairy Two
Personally I'd suggest going w/ all the MH Muscular or RL Theseus for the rest of the body.
