More moving? As in saying that Duncan and Cailan's deaths weren't moving? I find, and found , it immensely so, I can hardly bear to watch it.You're giving the DLC too much credit. Nothing in it is story-based, so it's not that the NPCs made bad decisions, it's that werewolves are tougher to fight so Alistair must have sided with the werewolves. We need some golems so he sided with the golems. There is no dialogue or cutscene, or even imaginative setting, so personally I felt nothing killing Teagan or Ser Perth or Wynne or Zevran. Leliana in her Chantry robe is so out of place that it's not even like killing Leliana (and I might have actually enjoyed that a little bitI imagine that I would feel just as bad about seeing the companions die in this, as well. The writers may have chosen to make it so that the companions couldn't make a single good decision without the warden's presence, but rather than see that as something that has anything to do with the characters, I would take issue with the lack of character continuity.
).
No, I'm not giving the DLC any credit at all. That's why I didn't buy it. I just know that I would feel something killing the companions and the NPCs because of how I feel about them in the real game. All of them.

The file is in .7z formate. You'll need a program that will unzip it. If you don't have one you can pick up 7-Zip for free.
This program isn't directly associated with Dragon Age so, you don't have to put it in your override folder. You can leave it on your Desktop for easy access or where ever you feel comfortable putting it.

Uh not to detrack the thread but I got an Alistair/HNM question please. On this playthrough I'm going to have different endings for my HNM and one of them will be marrying Anora. I've hardened Alistair because he will be King in almost all my endings except where I marry Anora.
How can I go about making sure Alistair doesn't grab the throne even with him hardened and without sparring Loghain lol. The only way I can think of is arrange for Alistair n Anora to marry but have Alistair kill Loghain cause we know Anora won't marry him then. Can anyone help?
You dual Loghain and defeat him. Then have Alistair kill him.
I must be doing something wrong somewhere. I guess it's just not possible to rule with Anora when Alistair's hardened. I even had Alistair n Anora engagedand when it came to the landsmeet I dualed Loghain n let Alistair kill him. Anora even made her announcement of not marrying her father's killer but there was no where for me to say that I would rule beside Anora. Is it even possible for my HNM to rule with Anora even if Alistair's hardened?
Yes, but YOU have to Kill Loghain. If he kills him he takes the choice out of your hands.

For Natural Bodies, you need to drop it into the Modmanager overrides menu. Then it will show up on the first page in the overrides column, you right click on NBAIO and that brings up a Config menu.sylvanaerie wrote...

You have Modmanager open? You should see sections when you open the mod. There will be three going across and one below. You need to drag your mod into the bottom section.
Once you do this drag it from the bottom into the section called INSTALLED OVERRIDES.

Maybe, but I really think you'd find it so cartoonish and silly that it wouldn't seem like you were really killing your companions. I hate Wynne, for example, but in Origins I still haven't been able to bring myself to kill her without a reload. It disturbs me to do so. Blowing through her and the templars in DS felt like nothing, however.errant_knight wrote...

I can't figure out for the life of me what Bioware is up to. Dropping what you are good at and making a lame attempt to copy the competition really doesn't work out most of the time. I take it that with Awakening's stripped-down conversation system and this DLC, they are trying to point people towards a more MMO-based game and convince us that you can get DAO's experience in that format? If so, fail. Big, big fail.

Can you open/unpack archive files manually? If so, you can do the following:sylvanaerie wrote...
nope...still clueless on what to do it won't let me drop the mod onto the manager thingee
* download natural bodies core files from http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=221 and unpack that archive to your Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override directory
* download 'theseus male body and textures' from http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=285 and open this archive. Inside it go to folder "hair/hairy" and extract the file located there HM_100_d.dds to the override folder, into the "NaturalBodies 1.00" sub-folder, and hit "ok" when Windows asks if it should replace existing file.

Yes, NBAIO is huge it will tell you that Modmanager has stopped working but it actually hasn't. Just leave it be and whatever you do don't close the window. It will probably take maybe up to 5 mins to install depending on your system.

They did say it was an experiment. I wouldn't read to far into this. The dialog system in Awakening worries me more. But same deal, just trying to enjoy the original game (and awakening eventually) without thinking too much about it. Otherwise ya end up sucking the fun out for yourself. As long as they don't convert to Dialog system like ME...ick yuck gross I hate it.

1) Unzip DAO Modmanager
2) Open DAO Modmanager
3) Unzip the override file
4) Drag the override file to View/Show All

5) Drag the override file from View/Show All to Installed Overrides
6) Wait up to 5 minutes (depending on your system) for the mod to actually install. You may get a message saying that the program has stopped responding. Ignore it and whatever you do don't close Modmanager.

7) Right click on NBaio

This should bring up a configuration window and you'll be able to pick and chose how you like. You can grab the edge of the window if you need to make it bigger.

Yes, once you have the core files installed you can download "NB_100_HMvariants" file for humans and such for other races. Inside these archives are different versions of the body shape, including the relaxed option. Pick the one you want, put it in the NaturalBodies directory in the override folder like the texture, and rename this file by removing the part in brackets e.g. rename "(relaxed)hm_arm_nud0.msh" to just "hm_arm_nud0.msh"sylvanaerie wrote...
ooo wait...I can make him "relaxed" instead of seeing all the guys at half mast? Maybe I can live with musclbound dudes...
May be easier to just use that manager thing for that, though

You don't understand the mentality by which most gamers play games then. Not represented in the slightest by this forum, since it has only a few thousand people that post in it, while Dragon Age sold hundreds of thousands of copies ( maybe millions I do not know )
Most gamers play games to kill stuff, beat **** up and blow stuff up. It's why games like Just Cause 2 and GTA sell so well. Most consider story a bonus, not something that drives the game, and consider how well the combat is done the main course in a game.

Not that I'm aware of. You could try browsing Nexus for something. Technically most of those people/things would be naked. I doubt werewolves bother w/ small clothes.
