How many people play rogues as basically duel weapon fighters in the thick of things? I don't play my rogue this way. I need to know how important stats like defense or physical resistance are to you. I think personally they're useless. I hit stealth whenever I get aggro.

i play rogue dw in the thick of battle and very rarely use stealth but i have a op longsword so op armour isn't really important as long as it looks good stats dont matter :}

Are you on a PC? If so, you just rotate around with the mouse. Sometimes you have to switch characters to ger the POV that you want.

I've played around with it a lot and I never get that angle.

See, I don't play that way because thats how my warriors play. It is so much fun to let Alistair take the beating while I sneak in for the kill.

I guess I just follow the traditional Tank/DPS/ranged/ranged tactic to the T.

i like playing ranged too but the hfn i'm playing at the moment is dw rogue but my ce she's a ranged rogue

I always take stealth, but only to run in and disarm traps and pick targets.  I'll usually run in, clear the room of traps, then position myself behind the mage for a sneaky kill.

Alistair still Taunts so that my rogues can come along and backstab his opponents.  It works well.  But I don't bother stealthing once we're in the thick.  Just kill everything in sight.

If you need an rp excuse for stealth there's always the idea of smoke bombs or dust in their eyes. I played a rogue for years in WoW using Vanish so, I suppose I just see that as a mandatory rogue skill.

ah i thought my younger alistair mod was weird at first but come on yours is just scary even more so than the broodmother poor alistair doesnt deserve that just coz bioware wrote a really pants dlc it wasn't ali's fault i'm sure he was giving bioware the angry look too

@Lady Jess -- (do you like being called Lady for short? Or Jess? or LJ?) Your dwarf should revel in being a thug, muwahaha. I have a male Brosca that's still in Ostagar, but he's going to make all the dick choices in the game, too, including preserving the anvil. I am however debating replacing his head with Sandal's so that'd be a good explanation for siding with Harrowmont on a Brosca. =p

Thats a good point. Oddly in WoW I love Vanish and stealth, maybe because the visuals carry it off better. Unfortunately I can never seem to spare the 4 points.
