I don't know why everyone is so bent out of shape about Leliana and Alistair. Your PC is dead. They died before he even got to know them. What's he supposed to do, never date because there was a pretty girl in the joining who died? And, since there is general agreement that the 'writers' of the DLC ignored in-game characterization, what does it even matter? None of it has anything to do with anything.

I don't care that he finds someone, I just don't think he and Leliana have any chemistry and Leliana's cutesy behavior and Alistair being a virgin with both of them wanting sex to be really special would just make it a cuteness overload.

Eh, I personally hate infidelity, but it's not the DLC that bothers me. It's someone implying that Alistair was really in love with Leliana when he was with the PC. Not because of the game itself but because of infidelity in real life. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, even though I know it is a joke. That's just me acting irrationally.

Yes, this is before Alistair is king. My plan was to make him solo king later on. The romance is active (90+). I was trying to figure out if I wasn't meeting the right conditions in the game or if the coding was preventing this from firing. If it's a lot of work, don't kill yourself. It's just one little line and I don't know that anyone will miss not seeing it in game since they tend to run to Denerim first thing to have their hearts broken by Gorim instead before they romance anyone else.

Well how are we supposed to get justifiably pissed at him for getting married if we wait until a year passes for the Landsmeet and/or if we've also hooked up with Alistair/Zevran/Leliana?

It would be like:

Before I played DAO, I looked up who the four romantic interests were so I'd know who to look out for. I knew that Gorim wasn't one of them and honestly thought I would not see him again after the exile. I forgot he even told me to look for him in Denerim because wtf is Denerim? I didn't know any of the city names at that point. So when I actually ran into him again, I was like OH ****. Because I was fully in a romance with Alistair at that point and I was thinking that both men were going to kill me. I couldn't tell Gorim to be my second again because Alistair was standing right there and I was thinking oh, man, I hope he doesn't find out about Alistair. That conversation was awkward for me. When he told me he was married, oh pheeewwwwww, he's not going to be mad at me. Wheew, dodged a bullet there!

And then I find out that other women had different experiences and don't relate to me at allll.

I think it is because technically the subject of Alistair becoming the king doesn't arise until Arl Eamon forces you to go along with the whole "Let's go to Denerim, we have bastard prince of a wild card with us" thing. It wouldn't be really issue if there was simply third option for him along the lines of "I'm in love with a human out of all people" with simple romance check, like for the others.

When you go see Goldanna before even finding out Redcliffe has been having problems by virtue of leaving the second Alistair tells you he's a prince then you can still tell him that he's going to be the future King in the Goldanna discussion because they kind of assume you don't do that.

It means You are cruel. but it's the formal version. You would use the informal version on an internet forum, so:

I was going to learn Arabic but I looked at a few lessons on line and my brain shut down on me. Japanese isn't that much better but I have Rosetta Stone now, so it's a little easier.

I've always hated Leliana. Not to mention the conflicts the story has anyway. Just makes no sense. i think the Morrigan manipulating him into a relationship with her to get her god baby is a more likely story. Would explain the stupid choices.

Oh, I'm not talking about the DLC, I can understand that. Just the whole "he really thinks of Leliana when he's with you" thing is what I don't like. But like I said, that's just because of past personal experiences. Irrationality.

It might have helped that I played a HN first and was really curious as to who Gorim was as his name was  yellow and so I thought I was missing something. Then again, that bratty noble kid's name is in yellow and she's not important.

It's not entirely or even mostly on a rational level, but if you picture the woman you can least stand, who also happens to be incredibly annoying, and then find out your boyfriend or husband had a thing for her once, it would set you back.  The very idea is [alistair] creepy [/alistair].

I never saw him ending up with Morrigan, either.  Just wish Bioware had left it all alone.  I mean, what's the point?  Have no story line at all and just throw that tidbit in?  Probably to provoke just such a fangirl reaction as this.  *sigh*
