Yep. Even write fanfiction about it. Aeducan/Alistair OTP I'll have you know. I've actually written a lot of Aeducan/Alistair stuff before I got sucked in by Duster and that consumed my time.

*edit* I don't hate the 'stair, I hate his fandom. I hate Princess Couscous types who preach at me that their romance is better DWARVES ARE UGLY LOLARMS, which is weird since it's pretty much the same thing.  I just can't be bothered to "romance" Alistair on any characters now, too exhausting. So overwrought and needless. Aeducan/Alistair can bugger off to eat cake in Orlais and run away in Happy Ending Land ™

It's easier than it looks.
Once you learn classical Arabic (extremily hard), you can understand regional and national dialects with a bit of practise (watching their TV).

Since I was raised in Syria, my accent is Syrian when I am speaking casual Arabic (specifically Shami / Damascus accent, famous or infamous for being tough lol). But I can understand and speak other regional dialects.

Dialects can be a real **** to learn. I didn't have too many problems learning German regional variations when I lived there. However, in Spain, the dialects are a nightmare. The people in this village are completely incomprehensible to people just down on the coast, and near foreign to the folks from Granada who come down for their holidays.

I've had it with ALL the character hate. It seemed to be directed at you because that was the page I was reading when I lost it after days at a slow burn. Oddly, I feel a little better now. Still, the thread isn't very welcoming when it focuses on hate and not 'Yay!'

Maybe it's my misreading of the Alistair romance to begin with.  Some have posited it as shallow.  I mean, he does say that he fell for your PC because you were thrown together.  So it makes me think that the people who thought the romance was keyed to be shallow and puppy-dog might have had the right of it after all.

This is even assuming that the Origins writers had any say in anything in the DLC.  I'm not sure if I would rather hear that they did or they didn't.

So uh I have a random question. In the landsmeet if your PC is dualing Loghain where the heck is Alistair? I saw everyone except Alistair. You see Anora, your other companions, gaurds, banns, Eamon etc but you don't see Alistair n I looked too lmao.

I thought that he said he fell for you in spite of what has happened. That you wouldn't have met if the Blight hadn't had happened which is true. Where does he say that he fell in love with you because you were thrown together. He and Morrigan/Leliana/Wynne were thrown together and you don't see them falling in love (we'll ignore Wynne's cougar tendencies.)

I just think the hate is prevalent now because of the DLC. This is an Alistair thread and what [theoretically] unites us all is a love of Alistair. Not a love of all the characters. There's only so much you can discuss before it just becomes super redunant, which is why I think the thread is so OT and about disliking the new DLC and characters. The manips and weird sex scene head-swapping stuff is just for giggles, at least by me. I don't see it as unwelcoming in the least, but that's my view *shrug*
