I have imported my mass effect 1 person and beat the mass effect 2 game as a senital..... and now i want to play as a different class how do i do it, because when i try hitting new game important mass effect 2 character it only shows me vanguard and select a new ability... i would like to play as a different class (and get the bonuses like the resources and so forth) how do i do it on xbox360 ?

The 'Import ME2 Character' does not give the option to change your class. You'll have to start a brand new game to play as another class.



Note that you can import your ME1 save as many times as you want to start off with it's bonus. Also, completing the ME2 storyline once gives you 50,000 of each resource and 200,000 credits at the start of the game for every new game, even if you don't import.

oh so all i do is press new game....and important mass effect 1 ? and i get both bonuses ?

I don't know about both bonuses. I've been working with an ME2 generated game to get a few achievements, so I haven't even tried importing an ME1 character again.

Best way to is to re-import your ME 1 character to ME 2. Once you beat ME 2 you can re-import your ME 2 char but cannot change it's class. To play a new class in ME 2 after you beat the game you either start a totally new game or re-import your old ME 1 char.

You get bonus for completing game with an imported Shepard ( game + bonus ), and still get bonuses for importing Shepard. You don't get to keep bonuses if you import ME2 Shep( only the game + )
