I'd be the first to admit I'm not so experienced at this kind of thing. I tried creating a custom class using the guide at social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/index.php/Add_A_New_class_Tutorial. I didn't experience similar results though, unfortunately. I followed the steps exactly, except I named my class different. When it got to the scripting areas, I was sure to change all the names from it's class to mine. For some reason though, at the end where it has you create the default character model, my custom class isn't anywhere in the dropdown menu like it should be. I tried firing up Dragon age, and sure enough, my class is there with the tooltip and description. Only thing is, when I try going to make a human noble of any other class or an Elf Mage, the on-screen character disappears. Can anyone help me out?

I would suggest making sure the CLA_base gda has the right string table entries for the class name in it; I'm having this issue myself now.

Fixed my own problem. I made a stupid mistake in CLA_Data.xls. I accidentally entered my new class information in for ID 1, so it pushed all the others down one and it screwed up a lot of things.
Now I'm experiencing a different problem, though. When I enter in different stats for my custom class in the CLA_Data.xls file it doesn't apply like it did before when they were in incorrect order. Right now, the stats are always the same as a warrior of the same race. Any ideas?

Ok, so I've figured out that the starting stats are linking together between the classes because of the "nPresetTable" value in sys_chargen.nss. When it is equal to one on your new class's entry, it will have the same starting stats as the warrior, 2 is the same for rogue, 4 and 5 are mage. Everything outside the 1 to 5 range sets them all to zero beyond your racial bonus stats. I'm trying to look for solutions to the issue.
