Ever head of Star Wars: The Old Republic?
They can;t make two MMO's at the same time-period

1) There remains plenty of romance options in the game, and the romance does NOT get toned down to cater to the MMO crowd.
2) Again - the romance does NOT get toned down to cater to the MMO crowd.
3) Graphics remain awesome.
4) Story remains awesome
5) Single player remains the priority
6) there's probably more but i can't think of any

Just to re-mention this wouldn't be until sometime after ME3... So the star wars will have been out for a couple years at that time.

Bioware is already working on an mmorpg right now called Swtor (like anyone here doesnt know that). Smart developers usually only work on one mmo at a time, giving it as much resources and effort as they can. That includes after release. Even once the game is out and going, they will continue to provide support and development for it, in the form of hundreds of patches, updates, and expansion packs.
This will last for years, probably around a decade or longer. It makes absolutely no sense for them to make two different mmorpgs. That is an example of a company having to stretch itself very thin. Having two mmos running at once means you have to support two mmos at once. Meaning that neither one gets the full attention it probably needs. Just look at Cryptic and Champions Online and Star Trek Online.
Smart companies release one major mmo IP and they put everything they have into it. Not to mention if they made TWO mmorpgs you might not be seeing as many single player games come out of the company anymore because of the gigantic task of managing two mmorpgs.
So no, its not happening. If you want to play an mmo made by Bioware The Old Republic will have to suffice. And you can still look forward to more ME games in the meantime.

She would be pretty hot too if she wasn't an elephant.
I agree Skilled Seeker, she would, but at this point it would take years for that to ever happen. I bet her shirt sizes read tent or blimp instead of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL

I will not play Star wars anything, second it was mearly an idea, not saying they will ever make it, this was more just tossing out ideas of possibilities. I know and understand how mmos and the companies that run them operate. Again this wouldn't be until sometime after ME3.
Oh Im not saying your post was stupid or anything like that. Far from it. Its an idea, and one that could yield one hell of a game.
Im just saying you might not see it for another ten years if ever. If it came sooner Id be very surprised. Very.
Kotor sat on the backburner for a looong time without any sequels before an mmo was ever announced. Im not sure why you wouldnt play Swtor. Just because its based on Star Wars? Did you not like Kotor?
Anyways, its Bioware. Thats reason enough for me. Not to mention a lot of the mechanics you see in ME are being transfered over to Swtor. Each character class has their own involved stories similar to ME. Its supposedly going to have over 200 hours of game play for each class alone. Ive noticed the way conversations options and the way they work are nearly exactly like ME. In fact, the game looks more like ME to me than Kotor. Almost as if they did ME with a Star Wars theme and made it into an mmorpg.
Anyways, I'd consider giving it a shot. Unless you just hate Star Wars with an epic passion. LoL.
And who knows. Maybe by the time Im 40 we'll see a ME mmo. I'd play it.

it could be cool, but i'd rather another trilogy taking place 20 years later or something.
I doubt they will make an mmo, I was curious as to others thoughts on it. I hope they atleast consider another trilogy, after 20years maybe shepard would be a counselor.

But ya bad idea. Mass Effect story is built around the actions of a single person creating a unique experience for that person in an MMO you lose that since the developers must decide where the story goes and the player can't change that direction regardless of what they accomplish.
