My buddy is trying to run DAO on a computer with the following hardware:

Pentium 4 3.2 ghz processor
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 with 190.62 driver
Windows XP 32-bit

He has the game set on the absolute lowest settings and it is basically unplayable due to lag.  I was under the impression that he easily passed the minimum reqs for the game, and except for the GPU he was pretty much on par with the recommended specs.  Does anyone have any idea what would be causing the problems?

That system is minimum for both CPU (actually below on that) and GPU; what screen resolution is he attempting with it?  It it's higher than 1024 by 768, that's the problem.  He will do best at 800 by 600.
