OK...so the wanting a child thing is valid. But how long do quarians live anyway?
Is tali a doomed romance?

I don't know about that, I'd assume asari law recognizes the other partner as legal "father" of the child, with all the responsibility that implies.Shandepared wrote...
No, the child shares none of your DNA. The asari use the meld with you to randomize their OWN DNA. If you ditched your asari girlfriend after she got pregnant she could never come after you for child support because the child is not yours.
That's not even mandatory with human cultures. Most prominent example would be the Jewish community - to be recognized as a Jew you only need a Jewish mother. The father's faith is irrelevant.
I do assume, however,. that Asari have control over their fertility so they only go pregnant when they are really, really sure about it.
Hrm. On second thought ... what would your Shepard do if Liara presented him with a picture of his/her Asari daughter? :innocent:

(Flame the question as you see fit...I don't hang out in Tali threads much.)
She's 24, and she only has the mindset of a sixteen year old when it comes to romance. Everywhere else she is mature. Not like Miranda who dumps all loyalty to you over a meaningless argument where she was wrong. Now that is immature.
Just sayin.

I've made that pretty clear several times in the past.

As for all the minor issues with atmosphere and children and whatnot... Those could all be worked out. You don't need to look further than plain human relationships. Would you ditch your wife / husband if it turned out they were infertile? Some people would, others wouldn't. The way Tali's been acting so far, the only thing that would make her abandon Shep is if he joined the Geth and rallied them to wipe out the Migrant Fleet. As for Shep... Usually what he does is what I decide so I suppose you should have the option of ditching her or being true to her.

I was just thinking that since Quarians are a dextro-protein species and their homeworld would probably only have food that they can eat and humans can't, and while i'm not sure but wouldn't their planet be toxic or at least unpleasent to other species? so if Shepard and Tali were to do what all the talimancers want and settle down on the Quarian homeworld, Shepard would have to wear a protective suit all the time and have to eat different food then everyone else, so basically only one person in the relationship could ever live without having to wear a suit, so one person is doomed to live in a suit if they want to stay with the other one. I'm not try to sound negative or anything just trying to figure out if their relationship could last, Thoughts?

Or I simply disagree; Likewise, I could effectively dismantle your counter arguments; However, as Thatguy212 noted this has gone outside the topic of this thread. If Collider must think less of me in order to feel better about his choice/opinion? I am ok with that.Collider wrote...
Pfft. I've countered his points quite clearly. Everyone has different tastes, but seriously, he hasn't done his research.thatguy212 wrote... Okay look guys as interesting as your points about why Liara is obviously a better love interest than Tali are, that isn't what this topic is about so could we try to remain on topic please
