Now that we're talking about babies and love interests you people have got me thinking of what Jack would be like as a mother.

I cannot describe the thoughts that are in my mind right now.

The Jack thread have actually discussed this quite a bit.
Some say that by having a child her paternal instincts would kick in and it'd perhaps calm her (although she'd definitely still be all Jack).
However others believe the amount of physical scarring Jack has on her body from the Cerberus experiments (its amazing how easy it is to not notice how bad the scars actually are) would basically leave her infertile.

We don't know all of the things they did to Jack. If they are looking at the long term, leaving her fertile would allow her to have offspring (as disgusting as forced pregnancy would be) also with biotic ability, if I am not mistaken in assuming that biotics carry over to children.

I could be wrong, but only the Asari are actually born with latent biotic abilities. Any and all humans, I believe, that have biotic powers only have them due to in-utero exposure to Eezo. I highly doubt that even Jack, were she able or willing to have kids, could give birth to a "natural" biotic laden child.

Furthermore, the Jack thread has also hypothesized, if Jack is sterile, whether or not it was done while she was on Pragia or potentially at one of the prisons she was locked away in. The hypothesis for the sterilization while in jail was spawned somewhat from Jack's brief statement about the incident on Purgatory when she was attacked by other prisoners. Some of us believe that it's possible that one of the prisons sterilized her in case of sexual assault so that there wasn't a chance for her to get pregnant and then the prison having to deal with said pregnancy. This is somewhat supported by the presence of an inverted-Y surgical scar on her lower abdomen.

Well, I've decided that the hero-worship comment on the Tali romance from the other day is utter crap. Rescinded! The only thing I have against it, is if a renegade romances Tali, but that's my personal preference.

That's pretty disgusting to consider. I don't think we know for certain, but that's a possibility. Thank you for correcting me about biotics by the way.

Uh, okay? All I'm saying is that both Tali and femshep know they can't have children with them. What's your point?

I was just trying the throw the idea out there that there may be no desire for children at all which is a plus to dating aliens.

Meh. I imagine my Shepard shouts abortion when she punches people during battle.

Apparently, women are unable to supress an innate desire to have children, in their mind.

Clearly by the way some people are talking.

If Tali wants children someday, she should already know that at her age. If she wants to have children with her blood and experience the whole pregnancy cause she has those maternal instincts, then she would be less likely to want to be with male Shepard. Although, as someone else has remarked, she could get a donation if the Quarians have sperm donation clinics.

However, I think Tali is too smart to get into a relationship with someone she can't have children with when she wants to have children via the old fashion way. Even if for some reason the biological clock kicks in, I don't think she's the type as to dump male Shepard over that. I know people divorce over that stuff all the time, but I believe a lot of the time it's because one person thought they could change the mind of their partner in the future. I doubt the factor of children would doom the relationship between Tali and Shepard.

Though this is all with me thinking if they get that far into a relationship. Tali for all we know may just want to nail male Shepard. She may be planning to settle down with a Quarian later for kids. She is young after all. We can't assume she's going after Shepard for a lifetime relationship. She could be just curious and experimenting right now.

She's only 24 people!

Indeed, it can be a VERY powerful drive.  However, it is not unimaginable that it could be subsumed for a good enough reason (aka Shepard).  I mean, some infertile women for whom other options have not worked would consider adoption, for example.  And Tali seems very strong-willed to me.
