She says that Shepard is a dashing commander. The whole relationship and romance though, is about trust, not hero worship. He's misrepresenting Tali.

It's not particularly doomed. Tali's going to have to stay in the suit regardless of where she lives, and there are barely any pathogens on the Quarian homeworld, if she even wants to live there. The real issues are social. If they settle down, either he largely abandons humans or she largely abandons quarians. I can see some resentment forming there. Are they okay not having biological children? How do they negotiate the constant risk of infection that comes with sex once the newness of the relationship wears off? (not that they're doomed to celibacy. They'll just have to be creative. Tali's essentially disabled, but her weakened immune system shouldn't preclude a sex life)

Same here.... to be honest miranda is more hero-worship then anything else. The intro she basically saying. "Sheppard is an blood icon.. I would follow him" etc etc... gave me impression when I was playing as manshep that she wants to do him.

to be honest, I'm kindof surprised that conrad didn't try to hit on you as femshep.

Tali is basically the bottled up girl, you find out likes you at the very end, and your like... "WHAT?!?!?!? why didn't you say anything earlier.... like before I romanced Kaidan/Ashely/Liara1?!?! I would have picked you over them any day of the week!"

BUT.... it might just be me.

My impression of the situation is that the house shepard builds if you romance Tali and whatnot would serve as a vacation home.  I can't imagine shepard settling down either, there are more threats than just the reapers. 

And to the OP, Shepard doesn't necessarily need to wear a suit, it is still an oxygen/nitrogen planet and shepard has proven in ME1 that he can handle most Oxygen/nitrogen planets without a helmet.  The only one he wore a helmet on was the one with the toxic spores.  And the food issue is also easily resolved, just have it imported.  There are spacestations that need their entire food supplies imported from outsystem, enough food for one person can be brought to a planet.

Not that it would need to be regular, like I already said, I see any home shepard builds as a vacation home.  He would be so busy off fighting that the home wouldn't get used very often.  Now that is an easy way to ruin a relationship.

I read a fanfic where Garrus was feeling bad for Tali because she was crying and she couldn't even wipe the tears from her face. The things we take for granted....

BUT.... it might just be me.

That is how I felt as well.  Although I prefer it how it is, having a prior game to refer to for emotional depth helps in my opinion.  It makes it seem more genuine.

Jtav, I disagree about the abandoning thing. Shepard can retire after the Reapers are defeated. I don't think anyone here is suggested that any romance interest will settle down with Shepard while the Reapers are still a threat - or in other words, during most of ME3. Shepard is not even part of the Alliance anymore, and possibly not even a Spectre. And he can effectively leave Cerberus. There does not need to be any abandoning.



Not being able to have biological children is not very important.

It is to some women.  For a significant number of women, it is a major psychological stumbling block.

I think she is still feisty in ME2, her loyalty mission she insults an admiral and yells at her aunt.  She's no pushover at least.  But come on, if you were her, and the man that could have anyone picks you, how would you react?

The romance with Tali is not hero worship. The romance is based upon trust. Shepard and Tali have been fighting alongside each other for so long. Shepard has saved Tali at least once. She also trusted Shepard not to reveal her father's research even though it would be the easy way out. The entire romance is that Tali trusts Shepard enough to be with her.

Pretty much if your in love with an alien, you already not worried about children.... unless it's asari.

If I was in love with an alien, I'd not worry about kids at all. We would definitely adopt. There's gotta be plenty of orphaned kids out there, with all the battles and all....

Exactly. If I played femshep I wouldn't romance Garrus because I've only ever played manshep.  Garrus is my bro in a male bonding sort of way, I just couldn't romance him, it would feel so....weird.  But I would totally set him up with the only woman I think is good enough for him.  Tali and Garrus are both so awesome, they just can't settle for anything less, at least when I'm not romancing one of them.
