Since the Laptop was the last item, whoever was second got no chance to use his tokens. It was an all or nothing situation and was quite nerve wracking to see contestants duke it out.

Unfortunately, second place was completely outmatched with around a 1000 points for first place winner.

My heart goes out to you second place. The order of the auction was setup in such a way that second place would really sting!
