I had ONE crash in something like 30 hours of game play. One bug (my rogue PC was shooting arrows with a dagger) and it only occured once. And one clearly broken set of encounters. (The bandits in Denerim, if you don't think there is something deeply wrong with the scaling on that encounter you are smoking crack). Beyond that, this has been an Incredibly smooth game so far.

Eh, I've seen quite a few bugs in the pc version.  Nothing that qualifies the statement the op made but a little disappointing all the same that they somehow made it into the live version.

1. Stragglers at the Redcliffe scenario
2. Few encounters not involving any dialogue interaction but still require your at least main character being short of just on top of the mob before they aggro - won't aggro from using other party members
3. Duel wielding daggers
4. targeting grid for aoe capabilities not always placing properly, skipping areas at times - not a big deal if you're using pause but when you're trying to do the fight in real time where every second counts this really sucks when it happens

etc.

Nothing game breaking by any means and I'm sure they will be fixed in time.  I still really enjoy the game and don't agree with the op but there's a bit more bugged with this game than some are willing to admit, least in the pc version.

Congrats on your A+ certification. I'm glad you learned how to do the equivalent of tying your shoes when it comes to computers.

I'm a Sys/Network Admin, DEP is ****, it causes tons of problems with MANY games, and it convolutes even further an already convoluted memory management scheme. Turn it off.

Never experienced any bugs up until now, only in the Warden's Keep addon.

I hope everything works out for you MOTpoetryION, so you can enjoy the game without bugs. ;)

Another useless post and an equally useless poster who doesn't make any mention of these mysterious problems the beta testers missed. I have had 0 problems with the PC version of this game, 0! Compare that to Arma 2 and I want to nearly puke with anger when recalling the HOURS I spent trying to get it to run.

I have had one CTD in probably about 20 hours of gameplay...which imo is very good compared to a lot of other games released lately (Empires Total War) cough*cough looking at you here).

As far as bugs go the only one I have seen is graphic in nature and it involves my main chara not switching weapons out when he switches modes, he'll dual wield his sword and his secondary is still his shield which while amusing sometimes also borders on annoying. This is on a Win7 Premium with an ATI 4850 card.

Also whoever said that their characters get stuck when they use certain modes like the top bard song...read the details. Unless I am mistaken, some of them won't let you move, use other abilities/attack etc while in they are in effect.

So far this is an outstanding game, and I've been playing PC games since Castle Wolfenstein came out. :)

So far i can say that Baldurs gate had more bugs and i also just had one ctd (because i was minimizing the game 5 times without a break) and no bugs (not using a rogue or bow) until now.
Can't understand your point... you had ONE error ? and you really think there was no beta testing? I never laughed that long...
Than again i'am just thinking about the complexity and the large world... . I not had that few bugs in a long time (in a game on release) it's not perfect that's right! But i never played a game without a bug.
You're just a Troll, sry

And building Pcs has not a lot to do with knowing something about software. That's a really stupid argument.

The game was 5 years in development and both the EA and Bioware spend much, much cash into the development in this game. A major business risk so to speak of.

So yes, it makes perfect sense that there was no Beta-Testing at all. Even the Alpha wasn't tested by anyone I bet.

The Testers probably were just in for the free pizza and booze. Don't testing but watching porn on their computers instead. And telling the supervisors "sorry dude, found no bugs yet. Oh btw, wheres our Pizza?! Anyways, party on dude!"

In 80 hours of playing I've only had the game crash twice. Once seemed to result from an alt-tab, and the other was because Vista seemed to think it was a good time to start installing updates, so that wasn't even the game's fault.

Overall I would say it's a very stable and polished game. Now if they could only fix the memory leak...

I've noticed exactly one problem with the game, and I haven't been able to reproduce it (using a stat Grimoire in the Fade didn't produce any result but still consumed the book).  Everything else has been ship-shape.

And I'm a DEP veteran, but I solved all of my DEP problems by having an admin user take ownership of the entire system drive (which took forever), and since then Vista's behaved very well.

Haven't seen any bugs personally, beyond a few little graphical things (Fingers phasing through your arms when they're crossed being the most common).

I don't even count those as bugs.

When you use torrent programs, don't be surprised if you end up with a PC full of spyware and viruses.

I haven't seen anything crazy buggy in this game, even though I seem to always manage to get stuck in/on something in almost every game I play. Really can't complain about this game at all!

well there is the dagger/dex bugg that they posted a fix for , you could consider the issues with the DLC a bug but that seem more of an issue with their servers than the game.

The game has crashed to desktop like 7 times in the week I've been playing, there's some sorta memory leak problem in Orzammar \\ Blighted Ferelden, but even I wouldn't be quick to call that 'lol no beta- testing'

I have encountered one or two small bugs (buying class tomes that don't unlock the class, small graphical glitches) and one game breaking bug (being teleported into a locked room with no way out and having saves written over, thus trapping me forever in said room) that cost me 25 hrs of gameplay... and you know what? Boo freaking hoo.

In a game this large, bugs are bound to pop up. You either suck it up, deal with it, and keep playing... or you don't.

Great freaking game they have put togethor here, and I am happy to be able to play it.
