yeah 50 hours in this game and i've seen a few graphical flickers, and had in one quest someone repeated a speech that obviously shouldnt have been repeated. (the person they were talking too had just been killed, but i talked to them like right as they died so i forgive it for being confused)

For you to say theyre was NO beta testing, shows something I wont say because its rude.

Only 2 crashes to desktop in total, neither with error reports.

Overall it seems very polished from a technical perspective, which would lead me to believe it was beta-tested just fine.

On the other hand, I have serious issues with some of the more core elements of the game, something that wouldn't get discussed with beta testers.

For one, I feel the flamers should shut up, while I disagree with the way the OP phrased it and he does tend to come off as fairly arrogant there is no need for personal attacks.

So far a few CTD normally after alt tabbing a bit, one fairly major graphical glitch which causes a character (not just yours) to be locked into whatever they are wearing, you can swap the gear and it updates in the stats and paperdoll view but in game view the model never changes. The last one was an annoying glicth being locked in a room which I resolved after 3 reloads buy not being impatient.

All in all this is a polished game release with a few glitches but nothing that makes the game unplayable.

MOTpoetryION  Welcome to PC gaming.  I take it this is your first PC game.  Some things you should know.  All PC games are released with some bug.  Some games are worse then others.  For Dragon Age, this game is more polished and has less bugs then most games that are ever released.  If my memory serves me right, this game is more polished then any game that has been released in the last few years.

Something else you should know.  It is virtually impossible for developers to make a 100% bug free game and get a game out in a timely manner and still stay in buisness.  Also, many many times a bug never shows its ugly face till after release of the game, being that there are an infinite number of Hardware/software configurations out there, also some bugs are so rare that they never saw it because it never showed its ugly face till after release but with enough people playing the game the bug is bound to happen.

So welcome to PC gaming.  Hope you enjoy your time with us, if not I might recommend going to the consoles, they tend to have less bugs.

You're right, this game was never tested. The company just decided to release a game that they just wrote on the spot. They actually lied to you, it wasn't in development for the past five years and it hasn't received over a dozen reviews that are at least 90 + from about a dozen different reviewers.

This game has been glitchy as hell, it was the first game in history I ever had to talk to customer support about. I've had to fix consoles before- but never a friggin game! Come on people, do your job and look at a game for ten minutes before shipping it out.
I won't be getting Mass Effect 2 because I don't want to worry about it exploding from horrible design and nurning my house down. I don't got insurance for that.
EDIT: I'll give them SOME credit, games are getting more and more intricate/complicated. I'm sure they tested it and fixed about 1,000,000 problems before release. However the DLC did seem to be rushed and untested, and that is what has crashed/messed up my game on almost a dozen occasions.

Okay, I'm a computer tech, and really, I've not encountered any MAJOR bugs. No memory issues, no pagefile problems. Couple CTD issues here and there, but those are mostly when I tab out for some other reason. Nothing that warrants the completely baseless "no beta testing" for ONE single instance of an error, and several generalized statements.

Every peice of software ever invented has bugs. Every, last, one.

i have seen 2 serious bugs so far in the quests for redcliffe -not sure about the name anymore- which some might even consider to be gamebreakers.
yet it is possible to solve the situation nevertheless and i have no reason to believe that this game is not beta tested. i can assure you the state of other games is usually a lot worse when just released nowadays... sad situation really.

There are some sound issues on PS3 and some graphical bugs other then that the game runs perfect on the PS3! (Well minus the frame rate issues which dont happen often!)

Its amazing, you list one issue, which may be your Virus program(NONE of them are perfect or even close and usually report a lot of items that are not bugs.), and yet yoiu say so many things are wacky and need testing?

I know of several bugs, lets here whats wacky for you? if there are so many, name them, Im really curious?

I am done and not about to get into any flame wars with anyone you all have a great day : )
and i also think its a great game and apologize to all for ever posting if any moderators read this post you can delete it if you like

Then why post an obvious troll post?  Let's see, you claim there was no beta testing because a Windows program crashed.  You claim to have experienced oodles of bugs, and yet you consistantly and repeatedly refuse to mention a single one, beyond a Windows bug.  Since EA didn't create Windows, I don't think you can hold them completely responsible.  Yep.  I'd say this was nothing but a troll thread.

Btw, as a 41 yr old, I'm embarrassed that someone 2 years my elder has such poor grammar.  Run on sentences 4tehlose.  You're making our generation look bad.  Cut it out.

I've seen a couple of small bugs, including a brief recurring CTD that disappeared after the first patch -- but nothing serious at all. How curious.
