Why aren't these concept armors in the game?! Can we get them in a DLC?

There is a set of armor (that i've dubbed "Warden Armor"), sword, and shield seen in the Sacred ashes video as well as in backround images for the dragon age site and forums, as well as the bioware main site.

Here are some pictures of the armor, sword, and shield, which are found NO WHERE in Origins or awakening.

Notice the amazing helmet in the last image. Also abscent from the game.

Please, could we have this armor in a DLC or expansion.. Why tease us with rendors of what would possibly be the most aesthetically pleasing armor in the entire game?! Has anyone else noticed this and wanted it?

Not only is that armor rendered but not in game, there is also Stens armor from Sacred Ashes which would also be an amazing edition to the game. Here are some images of that as well...

Please, if you'd like to have these armors, sword, and shield in your game, let this be a petition thread to make sure Bioware knows its something the community would want to have in a DLC or Expansion!

Also, note how similar the unknown "Warden Armor" seems to be to the ME2 Blood Dragon armor in terms of shape. Just interesting in my opinion, seems like they used the mesh for ME2 instead. :(

bumpity bump, because I want to see people discuss this.

As I'm fairly new to Origins and Awakening + the thousand billion DLCs I'm hoping that there actually armors in the game that I myself haven't discovered that could be revealed in this lovely thread. I know I could always check the wikia and stuff like that but I prefer the discussion 'n' stuffz.

What makes you think those were ever implemented in the game? The Sacred Ashes video obviously isn't in-game footage.

Well, you can actually grab a shield that has the same warden logo from Soldier's Peak. The shield is also round, large, and I think has the same design scheme...

The first one is the Warden Commander Armor which you can get from the Warden's Keep DLC.

The armor with the gryphon is in the game errr dlc warden's keep lol As for the shield im not sure but i think i saw it somewhere ingame. And the armor of sten look like most armor you can find except it look incomplete around the arm. The others well i dunno but you cant expect all artwork to be have an exact replica ingame.

Sten's armor reminds me of some of the dwarven ones.

the video was done by an entirely separate company from Bioware / EA, so of course what was depicted probably wasn't going to be included in-game. at least exactly...

The chest emblem IS the same as the Warden Commander Armor, but the color, and more importantly, the mesh/model are definitely not the same. It just uses the standed massive human armor mesh. The armor pictured to the top-left of the forums, as well as in sacred ashes (very very similar if not same) look much more like the Mesh/Model for the blood dragon armor in ME2. Just look how the chest armor protrudes in the picture above where they are side-by-side. Also notice the helm, which is not similar to any helm in DA:O or DA:A.

The large round wooden shield from Wardens Keep armorer is quite similar but doesn't have the pattern around the edges, but the one in the Sacred Ashes trailer appears to be a metal round shield as well. Either way, the shield really isn't my biggest concern.

And the sword, which is surprisingly quite nice looking compared to most in the game, is entirely abscent as far as I know. (I have looked extensively).

I had assumed there would be similar enough armor in the game based of the pictures and video, but after a few play-thrus, realized that I was probably wrong, and since no one else has seemed to find them (I've asked in the forums before) I've given up hope they're in the game. I am just saying that they SHOULD be implemented  into the game thru either a DLC or Expansion, and hope that others would agree and voice the same opinion here as to get the attention of the development team.

They aren't going through the trouble of making 7 new armor meshes just to please you, unfortunate though it may be.

They don't look very similar to me, except for the metalic appearance maybe. Mesh and textures are definitely different.

I'm not saying it should be JUST to please me, This thread is to bring these armors to the communities attention and have them ask for it (assuming they want it too). Dev teams have done a lot for their community, and I wouldn't put making an extra armor DLC past Bioware.

At the very least, why show pictures of an armor and sword  on the forums, the DA:O site, and the bioware main site and not even have it in the game? I can understand a render such as the sacred ashes trailer not being in the actual game, but images on all 3 main sites for the game? Now that's just teasing us. :P

For pic 1,2 and 3 Bioware might not have put the texture in but the model is there, but if you want it there is always the mod community

As for the Blood Dragon Armor yes the pics look better but that was concept art, and stens is done but someone else but still looks good

I am pretty happy with how the warden commanders armor turned out. I would really like to see sten's armor released via DLC BUT i get the feeling if any new armor pieces come out we're just going to see a re-texturing of old armor.

I think biowares though process when deciding new armors goes like this...

1.) Pick old piece of armor in Origins.

2.) Select new color ( gold, silver, black )

3.) Profit!!

The model may be SIMILAR but no where near as great as the images on the sites or even the render in Sacred Ashes...you can't really say its there.. here is a picture high-lighting the differences..

CGI will always look better then a render designed from multiple system specs even on the lowest end. Even the Alpha builds which where designed for VERY HIGH END Machines won't end up looking like it does in release. Also Concept art always kicks ass.

Very true.
But wouldn't you still want to see this armor (or a model VERY similar to it) in the game along with that sword? Really that was my main goal with this thread.. to see who else would like the sword and armors in the game in future DLC or Expansion, thats all, not to start some argument over it being CGI renders or concept art (which it obviously is). Just because it is right now, doesn't mean the couldn't put it into the game.
At the very least they could just adjust the ME2 blood dragon armor mesh a bit and re-texture it and release it as a new armor set for DAO. It already looks more like the armor pictured on the forums and sites than any armor in the actual DAO game does.

but its not.. i just made a quick mod to dump all the armor into my inventory and none of them match up with the armor posted in the first post.

It MAY look like some things, but it's definitely not in the game.. can we sort of get back on the main topic and just say if you'd like these armors in a DLC or not?

my guess is bioware probably outsourced those videos, that would explain the much more uglier version of sten in the game.

So eh, yeah, a little itty-bitty 2 dollars DLC with every Blur trailer armor included. Sadly, it won't happen.

Too bad that the Trailer Edition mod has been left to dead..
