Bugged about the Blackblade Gloves and Boots being bugged and not appearing in the game in patch 1.03? See my new project for a solution until a proper patch arrives.

Missing Blackblade gloves or boots in Awakening? Not anymore! This script adds the Blackblade set gloves and boots to the player's inventory when ran.

So why did I start this project? Well, apparently the Blackblade gloves and boots are missing from the game in patch 1.03, so I figured I'd take a look and see if I could get them anyway. And I did get them. Now you can too!

It would also be great if somebody could link this to the wikis and so forth as a workaround fix for the missing Blackblade armor set parts. The mod archive also includes the source code in case any modders want to know the item .uti names.

BTW, another option - since if you're on PC you can use the console as well as use mods - is to use the zz_fab console code. (I'm glad I found out about this code!)

All of the items in the blackblade set are in the debug room, too.

Yeah, that's another option. I wanted to provide a simple alternative as well though.

You chose to use a platform where Sony & Microsoft dictate what you can and can't put on your machine.

You have to live with it. You've made your own beds; lie in them.

I wouldn't have put it quite so bluntly, but yes, that's the gist of it. Every time you buy a multi-platform game, PC users will have it best 90% of the time, due to unofficial modifications.

As a former PC gamer, I completely agree.  However, at the moment I have a PS3 and can't afford a computer that can run any game out right now.  Mainly I just can't afford another computer.  It's not that I chose to only play on the PS3, I just don't have any other option.  If I could I'd go get DA:O for computer and really have some fun with stuff, but sadly I can't.  I'm sure there are others in the same boat with me.

Indeed. Quick fixes and custom content are the things you sacrifice out of necessity when playing on consoles, and there's really nothing you can do about it. You can only hope that BioWare really comes up with some big patches, because if they ultimately leave something broken, only the PC players will have fanmade fixes.

Great job Archmage Silvery! Thanks :)

Follow the instructions for setting up Console access. Then simply type: runscript zz_fab (at the console).

It hasn't made them available anywhere.
