I want to know since I am dreadfull at playing mage type characters but would still like to play through the game at least once from their point of view. This way I would be able to get the story line of the mage but still play in a stile I am comfortable with.

Hmm I generally hate playing magic users in games but... I might do the same and just spend most of my time controlling one of the other characters heheJasonPogo wrote...
Ok I know they have said that you can jump to anyone in your party and manually control them. So could I for sake of argument play the whole game controlling Alistair after I get him and leave my PC to the computer?

You wouldn't happen to know the extent of control you have over those behaviours would you? For instance, Neverwinter Nights had some basic behaviour settings... I personally wouldn't mind if there were many options. I'd take the time to tweak it.Blessed Silence wrote...
Yes. You can set up the AI behaviours for all your characters and just control who you want.

Well yeah that would be the whole point of what I posted. I stink at playing a mage in combat but I think I can handle walking around and talking with other people as a mage...hOnOr wrote...
At least historically in bioware games, not all of your party members are available at all times. They can be unavailable for one reason or another even after they join you. Plus, it's really only during combat, you still have to control your PC for all the other elements of the game.

You can tweak their behavior to very specific things.
