LOL, what happens if you lose that fight? Anyways, one option on that mod is for it to be party only. But that may not be necessary since the speed of special attacks is based on your aim speed. Not to many NPC's with Rapid Shot gear.
I will say it is a lot funner to spam special archer attacks! Archery plays much better. This is pretty impressive for me, this is the first gameplay changing mod I had installed. Normally, I mod the crap out of a game after a couple of days.

Might give it a try too. Achery and shapeshifting are two of the styles I have yet to explore much into. Maybe a duo+ playthru with an archer and shapeshifter heh.

EDIT: Just so you know I'm going with what might be thought of as the boring option
me and alistair sword and shield
Ohgren and Sten 2H
and I'm think of giving alistair expert herbalism () or just improved :/)

As to your breakdown, it sounds like a lot of fun. My only question (and it is information seeking, not challenging as I really don't know) is whether or not you will miss potentially critical gear in any locked chests.
Either way, with Alistair fully equipped in his Templar gear you won't have to worry about getting wiped by a bad round of nasty spells. For your other three, would probably be best to keep your Warden as DW and Sten/Ogren as 2H. That should allow for the best loot distribution and leveling efficiency.

Nope, just money. Everything you find in chests is either consumable or vendor trash.

Gloves of Diligence? Mage's Eye Bow? Antivan Leather Boots? Howe's Vault? Love Letters? A crapload of XP?

Touche, forgot about the gloves. The vault you can get a key to, can't you? I wouldn't call the others critical gear.

Lol that was quite a 180 wasnt it?
BC applied a mod that improves the aim rates of activated talents. I'm going to try that, too. The only origin I haven't done is Dalish, which cries out to be an archer. I was reluctant to do another pc archer but I think the mod should make it fun, plus it will make enemy archers more challenging.

Does this mod just increase the aim rate for talents across the board, or are some faster than others? That's what I want to see. If pinning and critical shot were faster, they would be worth using. Pinning shot to counter an archer winding up AoS or Scattershot, for example.

Don't get me wrong - Archery is still pretty weak. But Scattershot, AOS & suppressing fire are three really nice gems. Scattershot just has such a huge radius plus stun. Great for chaining!mosspit wrote...

How about a party of four S&S toons! LOL.

It makes a lot of changes including:
1. Bows Get Runes/Poisons
2. Runes/Poisons Trigger with Talents
3. Backstab on Talents
Lots of changes that may not be for everyone - but I like the results after playing around with it for a couple of hours.
BTW, if you thought 4 Scattershots was good, 2 x Two Hand Sweeps and 2 x Whirlwinds plus two or three Warcrys is amazing. A lot of fights have been a lot easier then I expected!

You'd need all (or at least some) your team specced as a Champion for the AoE KD War Cry or you simply wouldn't have enough crowd control to stop the damage.
Aw come on, if one warrior can tank for the entire party, imagine how much punishment 4 warriors can soak. He'll be fine. But champions are of course a great asset to the party because they'll raise everyone's stats through the roof with rally stacking.
I'd say multiple templars are more important than multiple champions because cleanse area doesn't work on the caster, and well... CoM, crushing prison, misdirection hex, etc...
Don't get me wrong, superiority is indeed awesome, but I'd hardly call it necessary.
Personally I'd take one of each weapon style, sounds like the most fun.
I keep hearing that but i'm yet to believe it. On the crap mobs sure, its not all that hard to tank them taking 1 damage. Higher level mobs? They can easily do 20-30+ damage a hit and thats vs my 30-40 armour warriors. And thats not even mentioning the bosses... *cringe*
Obviously you'd need something to Cleanse spells and maybe a little Smiting, but if you're expecting Tanks to not take damage either something is very wrong with my game or you're going to fail miserably. Crowd Control or bust.
^^ have to agree, depending on difficulty played...
Although you comment about stealthy rogues amuse me, stealth and rogues are mediocre in DA compared to other similar style games, half the reason why I never bothered completeting with one.

it was 4 two handed warriors (without respec), all damage oriented
pc : berzerker/reaver
alistair : templar/berzerker
sten : berzerker
oghren : berzerker/reaver
the common strategy happens to be very simple :
"hit it, if it screams, hit it again !"

@ Valaaz: I don't think Crowd Control is as needed as you think. Unless you start playing Nightmare with No Potions or Healers. Not me! Four Warriors is very strong, but as Soteria and a couple of others said earlier no one should taunt. Better to spread the damage around. Tanks and Spank is a lot harder when there is no one around to heal!

But an interesting development. I just started going through the Kocari Wilds and I respecced Allistar as a Dual Weld Warrior as soon as I picked him up. I got him to Momentum in the respec. Started going through the area and a wrote down the Total Dmg to Party number for both Alistar and the main PC. The main PC (Dwarf Two Hand) had 3,218 points of dmg. Alistar had 1,329 when I started to keep track. After playing through the Wilds the main had a total dmg of 4,423 and Allistar had 2,441. The two hand out-damaged Alistar?! I was not expecting that at all
Anyways, that is one of the reasons why I wanted to play two hand and Alistar a Dual Weld - I wanted to compare the two classes throughout the whole playthrough. So far I am really suprised the Two Hand LEADS a Dual Weld in dmg during the very low levels. Also, the Dual Weld really lacks in having any Crowd Control. Pommel Strike is such a quick cooldown and low cost talent.

That seems really, really strange. What attributes do each of them have?
