Why am I making this thread?
BECAUSE THE DEATH SCENES IN ME2 ARE F*CKING DEPRESSING;

Jack gets... um, killed by the frickin' laser if you don't have the armour

Tali/Thane/Legion/Kasumi get F*CKING INCINERATED if you don't get the shields

And Thane/Tali/Legion get IMPALED by a beam or something

And that's not even listing how people can die in the CB (Collector Base);

Your specialist (vents) can get a ROCKET TO THE FACE

Your second fire-team leader can get shot

Your biotic specialist can fall weak, leaving one squad member to be taken by the Seeker Swarms (Tali is worst for that, imo... the screams... :crying: )

EVERYONE can die during the "Hold-The-Line" section

And lastly, your team can get crushed by debris

I mean... Goddamn... :unsure:

I agree, the death scenes just make the game depressing (I turned off my game before i could hear...the screams, it didn't help my sadness).

Death scenes are fricking awesome BECAUSE of their grimness. I love them! Could have been more brutal though, like actually seeing Seeker swarms tearing the squadmate apart but I guess that would not fit in the ME spirit. That said, I dont have a single playthrough where everyone dies (have to fix this), just seen them on youtube.

I watched it on YouTube.  It was one of the most depressing things I've ever beheld and I felt down for the rest of the evening.

Oh, dude. :o

I couldn't play ME after seeing that. Especially with Tali or... well, anyone.

I would probably huddle in a corner and cry for some of the characters, (Tali, mabey Garrus), but for Miranda I would just laugh, put it on a loop and bring popcorn.

go ahead, but warn us ahead of time about who is in them, so some of us can evacuate the thread for a while.

I can't speak for everyone, but I for one wouldn't be bothered by it so much...it's just the full-on, constant, 30-minute onslaught of death that is the full suicide run that I can't stand to see all at once.  A couple screenshots, not so much. :)

What can I say, I am a person who loves extreme contrast of emotions both good and bad (reason why I for example love Elfen Lied anime). And when something inhuman happens, I hope it is as horrible as possible. This will also enhance the good parts, making them seem brighter. Glimmering spots in the vast hopeless darkness.B)

Hah! Miranda's would actually be kinda funny... in a sort of sick way. :?

No, I would feel mean. .. Not to mention, I don't have a full set yet, it doesn't seem right.

I didn't find it so bad when I did it.
Granted, I'd seen it on youtube, and I knew it was coming, but even my
favourite gal (Jack) getting killed first didn't bother me.

What I'd like to know is why is ANYONE stationed next to the volatile engine core during a battle?

Was there a PA announcement? "This is Commander Shepard. We are at war. All hands to the most dangerous parts of the ship."

I mean, why aren't they all gathered in the CIC or the cockpit? They seem to have fixed the SR-1's exploding consoles at least.

I do like gorey death scenes, as long as I don't get attached to that character first.

Like, say if I romanced Tali, and then all of a sudden SHE F*CKING EXPLODES. I'd be sad. Like, really sad. :(

Indeed. Instead of rush of saddness and empathy I would only get grim sense of satisfaction when it comes to Miranda. :devil:
