i still don't understand how u lost people on the mission unless u do it on purpose...when i did my first playthrough..i was going in blind no info other then what was already released by bioware....and i ended up losing no one...for me it was simple...

You must have been trying really hard to pull that off. It's harder to do that than it is to keep everyone alive.

I'll say. I got the entire team through on my first attempt without seeing how to, but when I actively tried to get everyone killed, I failed. I was annoyed, I can tell you.justinnstuff wrote...

Replace Garrus with Jack and that was my situation... Wasnt happy i lost Legion (damn you Zaeed!!!). I used Jack (unloyal) as a biotic field just to see what she would do and Grunt got taken away by the swarms... somehow...CamoBadger wrote...

ok...so i watched the vidoes///the ones with the swarm are kinda hard...but everytime someone got hit with the rocket in the head i found myself thinking...HEADSHOT

I've grown attached to all the characters, so any of the deaths did hit home.
I still think getting dragged by the seeker swarms was the worst way to go.
It would have been a lot worse though if any of the squadmates were getting liquified.

I'm planning for "all dead but me, garrus and tali" playthrough next. I am physically unable to play badly on purpose, so I'll just use a save editor near the end.

you have no idea how ungodly hard that actually is. The hardest part is getting miranda killed, because she is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get killed. i have an idea on how to do it, but i can't bring myself to kill people on purpose anymore...besides miranda

that is another good point, you have to have someone pull you up. BUT, the flaw to this is you also have to have some other person survive, doesn't matter who. If only you and one other survive, they fall to death with you! YAY
