Setting AI Tactics to just attack...

Hi.

So I can't stand the tactics my characters use.  I also do not want them to just stand around getting hit if they haven't been commanded, so I don't want to turn off tactics completely.

What I want is, when a member of my party does not have a specific command from me, they should behave in the following manner:

1) Do not turn on or off any sustainables.

2) Do not use any spells or abilities.

3) Simply attack.  Ideally, I'd like them to attack according to the following priorities:
a) attack whatever enemy they last targetted.  So if I just told Morrigan to use arcane bolt on something, after she has done that she will just use standard attack against that same thing.
B) if you have not targetted anything yet (i.e. a battle just started and I haven't yet told Morrigan to do anything), just stand there until an order is given, unless you are attacked.  If you are attacked, attack whoever is attacking you.
c) if you are attacking something, and that something is killed, attack something else.

Does anyone know how I could set this up on the tactics screen?  If it can't be done, what is the closest approximation to it that CAN be done, and how would I set that approximation up in the tactics screen?

I appreciate any help.

Well, there is an attack command in the list (it's the first, iirc). So if you just want the char just to attack his target you could use :

Enemy : target of "character" -> attack

Enemy : targeting "character" -> attack

Enemy : any (or nearest or whatever you like) -> attack

character being the npc (like if it's morrigan's tactics screen, pick morrigan etc...).

So if the char has a target, he will always hit the target. If he doesn't have a target, he will target the enemy attacking him. If no one is attacking him, he will pick a target on his own.

I think that's close enough to what you want to do.

Clear all your tactics, set party members to Aggressive or Ranged stance(Top right drop down box in the tactics screen). They will attack anytime they see an enemy in range and not use any abilities unless specified in tactics or by yourself manually.

Ranged stance is for Archers and Mages.

Use the HOLD command to stop them attacking.
