Now after that Bro hug with my shepard he has gone from a relivly boring, non intreasting character to a mega cool one, even if he is a space kanye, have the ultimate renegade interupt ever and all he really wants is the priize, but none the less he is now awesome in my books for the bro hug, anyone else agree??

It's a shame Jacob gets so much heat for being a "boring" character, when most gamers don't realize that he's there to bring balance to rest of the crazies on board the ship. Unlike every other character who immediately becomes your friend after a single conversation, Jacob is the only one who maintains his distance from you, and doesn't open up until towards the end, which frankly, is more realistic than the interactions Shepard has with most of his or her other squad members.

Jacob is popular, he is just not the tali or kasumi popular. He has memorable lines like... "The prriiize." which in my opinion is an boost to his popularity. Even if it's a joke, he is still considered popular because he is considered to be memorable. Miranda is the definition of unpopular on this forum. She has no memorable lines, nothing. It's either an love/hate relationship with her.

Yea jacob is a pretty well balanced and good character. He has a family, alliance history, and doesnt talk like a complete twit. His power level isn't over 9000, hes just an average human being

That was the first thing I thought once got to know. And this is very cool IMO. Maybe it has to do with him having already being a protagonist on an ME game and somehow a hero like Shepard. He shows that he soon as he has a chance he is honest about Cerberus to start to gain you trust, but at the same he maintains a certain distance about talking personal things as from his military attitude and respect to Shepard. In the end he is more cool about it and could become a very good friend as him and my Shepard at least have many things in common. Jacob is fine. I actually take him a decent amount of the time for Pull since my engineer has Throw. Incendiary ammo is also a plus, and trust me you'll miss it if your class doesn't come with it after a while. Don't think I've ever actually spent extra points in Barrier for him, though.

I really like Jacob and would love to talk to him, but for femshep it always ends up with this weird strong flirting thing, which is unfortunate, since he seems pretty cool. He's kind of the Garrus of ME2, total Shepard idolizer.
