..if I signed in using my original Gamertag? I guess what I'm asking is whether or not these codes are linked to your gamertag or unique to your console. I don't want to pay for another code to download the CN.

If you are using the same hard drive that was on console that died all the info should be there.

so you should not need to get another code for CN.



I dont know if just using the gamer tag will work.

Water was spilled to the console, possibly affecting the HDD. So just to be safe I am getting a new one. Either way, I did pay for the CN so I should in some way have it available to me

well I hope the HDD is in good shape for at least a transfer that way you dont lose all your Data.

Yes, if you log into XBL, you will have access to the CN on the new Xbox with the original gamertag.



Once you do a license transfer of all your gamertag's licenses to the new Xbox, any other gamertags on your new Xbox will have access to the DLC that the original gamertag has downloaded from the CN as well.
