Even MORE trouble now. I uninstalled it and I am trying to reinstall and it stops at the same spot twice now for about 20minutes. I guess the game freak hates me. Is there a place to download the game and use my CD code to activate it? It is REALLY getting on my nerves now

Your saved games are located in C:\\Users\\YourUsername\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2.
Just copy the mass effect 2 folder there and it will keep all your settings also.
Sounds like your dvd drive could be at fault, try a spare if you have one.

Just put in an IDE drive of the same quality. Same results. I guess it is the CD. At least now I guess I dont have to worry about the game anymore. I can just trash it.

Just a question. Is there a place to download it with my product key? I refuse to spend more money on it when I am probably going to run into the same problems.

Much love. Gonna DL it. Maybe it will work then. I agree with you on piracy also. Its part of the reason that those of us that actually buy the game have to go through so many things to get it to run. Its amazing really.
