well, shepard has ten followers in ME2, if you include kaiden/ashley, and liara, THAT'S TWELVE!

you said 10 squaddies plus ash and liara but you don't even need to be that subtle with Zaeed and Kasumi (both of which were planned from the get go) you have 12 actually usable squaddies in ME2

Exactly, in theology a "God" can be defined as any being/deity that draws worship. Hell, the Geth also referred to the Reapers as Gods.
